Hoover TwinTank Handheld Steam Cleaner, WH20100 (Gray)

Since working from home, I've done nothing but stare at my surroundings, so I noticed my 6 year old tan/cream living room area rug needed some help. I wear shoes in my house and allow my guests to do the same since I hate feet (sue me) so there was kind of a racing stripe of dug-in grime between my couch and coffee table. While I vacuum it daily (thank goodness for off-brand Roombas), I have never cleaned it- ever. I figured I just had to replace the rug, so I started shopping for one. Then I remembered I purchased this when I moved into my apartment and decided to use it for what it was designed for- cleaning carpets.It works. I used the spot cleaner that came with it on the really bad area (used the whole bottle, so be aware it's a small bottle if you have a big problem area) and I am still using the trial size of the cleaner. You don't need much of the cleaner and it has a measuring device so you don't use too much. The hose works fine for me- zero leaks. I saturate a small area, suck it up, saturate it again, let it sit a minute, and suck up all the water. It's powerful, but you do sometimes have to go over areas. It will not leave your carpet 100% dry- if you are expecting that from a $100 handheld machine, you are kind of delusional. It leaves it about 80% dry. The hose has a built-in scrubby bit. I use it without the suction (machine turned off) to scrub in the spot-remover and to scrub in the cleaner when I'm saturating it. You don't need much pressure for it to suck up the water, and you can see (and hear) it working so you can kind of tell when it's dry.I am still working on my area rug as I type this (a two day project so far) because I am working in very small sections and it's kind of uncomfortable for me to be on my hands and knees, but I can already tell it is working amazingly well. The dirty water is BLACK, then brownish, then lighter and lighter as you go on. I am planning to work until the water runs nearly clear. It has a self-cleaning cycle that is easy and quick, so there is no buildup of dirt or soap scum.It is a great handheld system. My mom has a $500 upright model that would have cleaned my carpet in 30 min and left it sparkling clean and bone-dry afterward. But I can't afford that, nor do I have the space for it, so this is a great value for what you get. Just go in with the right kind of expectations. I have no complaints.Word of advice- put a tarp or something (I used the heavy plastic my mattress in a box was wrapped in) under an area rug to protect hardwood floors from water/detergent damage if you're worried about that.

Spotless worked for me well. Like the hose cleaning function, a lot. Didn't really mind the spray trigger sticking; just have to manually close it. BUT, 2.5yrs in the on/off switch apparently has died. $6 part here on Amazon, and how-to on YouTube, but still a hassle.

I use this to do carpet and mat extractions on vehicles I work on (detail). Everything was going well but after the 3rd time using this little machine.. water began to leak out of the solution tank and I have not got it to stop yet, and it's a lot of water leaking.. i am not talking drops but like a quarter of the tank will leak by the time I am done using a full tank. Super frustrating and annoying since it's a lot of water and you can slip... Looking for ways to fix, hopefully it is simple. Oh and the hose could be longer but it's fine, you get what you pay for but by all means this is NOT a bad product, just has it's pro's and cons.

I had some pet stains that NEEDED cleaning..... I have a Hoover Carpet Shampooer.... Use it twice a year to clean my carpets... but it's heavy and really didn't want to lug it up from the basement for the smaller jobs...... wanted a smaller unit for small...periodic stains....seems there's ALWAYS something that shows up between spring and fall cleanings.... because I LOVE my Hoover carpet cleaner I ordered their Hoover Little Spot Cleaner.... LOVE it !!!!!!!! AMAZING !!!! Cleans GREAT!!!! I needed customer support once for my big shampooer... I broke one of the knobs on my solution tank.... they were on back order.... after several months I contacted them... needed a new knob SOON... time to clean the carpets..... they sent a whole solution tank... no charge.... blew me out of the water !!!!! You talk about SERVICE !!!!!!! GREAT company.... GREAT products !!!!!! Thanks Hoover !!!!!!!!!!! :)

Well I have to say it seems pretty great for Spot Cleaning but would really take some time to clean an entire couch! Took a good 8 hours to dry, so I'll be waiting to do the full couch in the summer time.Overall, it does the job and I'm impressed. Didnt give it 5 stars because it seems like you really have to work it, constantly pressing the water sprayer so it can then clean and do the job. More of a pain than I imagined.It does come with a "carpet conditioner" but really you can add anything to the container. I plan on spot cleaning my carpet too. Overall good purchase.

After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to try this Hoover for cleaning my outdoor upholstery. I had an oldLittle Green by Bissell that never sprayed well and was mainly just useful as a small wet vac. I am SO pleased with this Hoover! Spray and suction work very well, and the self clean feature to sanitize the hose afterwards is a great feature. I also liked that it included two sizes of nozzles. The larger one will be nice for carpet stairs and larger areas. I made two passes on my outdoor cushions...one with the cleaning solution and one with just hot water to rinse. I was amazed how much dirt was sucked up; and the set now looks brand new! I highly recommend this product.

Every pet owner or parent should own this! I wish I had known about this machine sooner. I have been living with nasty urine stains on most of my carpets from my dachshund for years! He is a bit stubborn and doesn’t like to go outside if it’s raining or snowing...I thought I had done a good job of cleaning his messes until summer hit and the humidity drew up all the residual mess hidden deep down below the carpet. This product took it all away and now it looks like brand new carpet! I still have a lot to treat around the house and some spots that may take more than one cleaning but so far I am sooo happy with my purchase. As far as durability I can’t speak to that yet as I only just received this product today, but it appears sturdily built and comes with a warrantee. The self cleaning method is convenient as well. I really have nothing bad to say about this machine!

Ha sido toda una sorpresa la que me he llevado con esta maquina lava vestiduras, resultó mejor de lo que espere, los materiales son de muy buena calidad, sin llegar a ser excelentes. Realmente por lo que se puede hacer con ella ha sido muy economica, ya lave las sillas de mi comedor y las del comedor de mi suegra, una alfombra de 2 x 2 mts, unas sillas secretariales, las vestiduras de mi coche y todavia me falta mi sala; pero es un excelente equipo, la unica desventaja es que los contenedores son pequeños y hay que reponer liquido para el lavado y baciar constantemente el vontenedor de agua de desecho...

Hoover products have become my first choice in cleaning devices and also I noticed this one runs by slightly more amps than comparable units made by others. For cleaning couches and chairs this is an excellent choice. It’s compact, yet the suction is far better than I expected, leaving the upholstery very close to dry. Although it’s titled “carpet and upholstery cleaner”, aside from smaller area carpets it would be extremely labour intensive to use to clean wall to wall carpet.This “Deluxe” model is exactly the same as the standard model except it has a couple of extra brush heads and an accessory bag. I’m not entirely sure the extra heads make any difference in cleaning quality but the slightly wider stair tool is convenient.

Look no further!If you are looking for a spot cleaner for rugs and want something that works, get this one! I bought it to clean up pet mess on my carpets and this thing works awesome! Fresh or old it took it right out. Highly recommend!

It kinda worked for a bit though right away the clean water bin kept popping free and thus no spray. Then the attempts to stop the spray as it gets stuck on or slowly shuts off causeing way to much water flow. But after a few months the hose started leaking and unraveled. I used duct tape for a bit but the hose was leaking like crazy. Today I throw it away. I tried to find a replacement hose but no luck. I finnaly just threw It in the Recycling and replaced it With its competitors. Oh little Bonus! My recycling won’t take it for some reason so it’s land fill love from Hoover.

It broke within 3 months and when calling they will charge me to return it but first need to take to a repair center in the city.
