Terrible quality and construction
The other reviews are right about the quality of this tool box. Received mine today and I am not happy but don’t want to deal with the hassle of sending it back. Top corner has a tab that is bent and all drawers are not installed, just loose wich is probably do to the drawer slide tabs which are super loose and will not hold drawer in place. Should have spent the extra money on a craftsman but I can’t find the right one to match my top box that they don’t make anymore. If this a reflection of there assembled in the USA it’s a wonder why stuff isn’t made here anymore. Also pricing doesn’t match the product. This should be priced at $75 not $130 which is what I paid but just noticed it’s up to $180 which is nuts. Also the packaging is sub par so it’s no wonder they get damaged.

Cheap, Flimsy Gauge Steel
I should have spent another $100 and gotten a better brand. This thing is made of such thin sheet metal that anything even slightly heavy will bend the drawer slides and the drawer either falls onto the one below it or will not open/shut correctly. Picture was taken after rebending the slides back into place, it was way worse beforehand. Also not a huge deal, but during shipping both front bottom corners were bent. That doesn't bug me as much as the drawers, but a heavier gauge steel probably wouldn't have these issues.

Great box for the homeowner, DIY'ers.
Received lower chest with no damage at all. You can't really beat it for the price. My only complaints are the friction drawer slides aren't so good. I would have happily paid $20 or $30 more for this piece if it had bearing slides. Also, do not exceed 20-25lbs per drawer or they wont work well, even greased up.I took some high quality synthetic grease and greased up the slides and they function much better now.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. Between this sale price, and getting the upper chest at a discount because it was a return, I paid right under $200 for both pieces. Can't really top that.

Better options available than this.
I'm a homeowner who wanted this to store chainsaw tools and accompanying items directly on my bench as I do a lot of chainsaw maintenance. The 7 drawer design allows me to keep little things like T27 wrenches, files, E clips, bar nuts etc separate from larger items, which I like. This chest will rarely ever become portable for me, and after receiving it, I would not recommend it for a portable job-site type thing. I feel it wouldn't hold together for long under professional usage; in and out of trucks etc. The overall flex and lack of rigidity in it when picking up etc full of tools would surely tear out the spot welds. It needs reinforcing or heavier gauge sheet metal. For the money, there are better options out there. I realize SnapOn etc make chests costing many thousands, and I'm sure they're built extremely well, but I don't need end-of-the-world durability, just a middle of the road type usage.I have several Craftsman chests I've bought over the years that, for less money, have much better construction than this Waterloo chest. Bearings in the drawer slides, heavier gauge metal, better paint job are some of the things the Craftsman has that this chest doesn't. The drawers feel flimsy, tend to cant diagonally if you pull from one side, the slides scrape as you pull them out, even after greasing them, the top lid is flimsy as well, although it does have a piano hinge all the way across the back. The paint looks to be 2nd rate. Some minor bubbling here and there and overall, a fairly thin coat. It came packaged fairly well and without damage. It was enclosed on 4 corners with polystyrene (think white coffee cup) and it protected it pretty well. There was a hole punched in the carton, but no damage to the chest. If I could've seen this chest in the flesh, I would pay no more than $60 for it. I won't return it and will use it, but feel I received Yugo quality for a Lexus price. In other words, if you're looking to spend $100-200 on a chest, this isn't the one. I do like the fact that it has 7 drawers and is still compact enough to fit on the back of my workbench.

Terrible cabinet
I purchased the five draw cabinet in May of 2018. When it arrived I checked the exsterior of the box; It to be in good condition, which to me at the time was a good indicator of theCondition of the contents. Wrong when I opened the box and removed the cabinet I found two of th drawers severely bent and forced into the draw cavities. The draw slides were serverely bent.I immediately took some photos, and then called Amazon. The Amazon rep. A third party seller was involved and I had to call them;which I did. They absolutely wanted no part of my problem, did not want to see the photos.I called Amazon back, I spoke with nice lady; she requested I give her a few days, and she would call me back. She did and I received aPartial refund. Now to the cabinet it has got to be the worst piece of crab I have ever come in contact with. The exsterior sheet metal ie cabinet, the draws were made 18 gauge sheet metal. The draw slides were equally as bad, very thin gauge material. This cabinet would’nt last ten days in a comm. garage It might last a six months with light use by a home owner.I rated it one star, but it really deserved no rating other than trash. It does not serve Amazon’s reputation well toallow third party seller’s to sell such unworthy products using there name.I think Amazon should have some type of review process before letting third party sellers sell there wares.Thank you.Richard F. Fine for hobbyist / DIYer, not good enough for a mechanic
I just got this box today and already it isn't quite up to spec. I piled my hammers & punches into the bottom drawer and the slides misalign easily, preventing the drawer from closing. I have to push it just right to close that drawer. The others, with much less weight in them, seem fine - if a bit cheaply made. The box is made from 18 gauge, if I had to guess, and the slides are "meh" quality.I'll probably replace this box with something heavier for work usage and bring the Waterloo home for light duty.I'm disappointed but only mildly - for the price and what I presume to be the intended usage (at home, hobbyist) it's fine. I should maybe have known better than to buy a box this inexpensive for professional use.

Arrived damaged
Would not purchase again. It came damaged inside. 2 of the drawer channels were bent beyond use. Had to use a hammer and some force to bend them back into place. Emailed about it and no reply.

You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. The rail system for the drawers is kind of cheap and the width of 14" is not quite 14" so I had to do some creative grinding to make my upper toolbox fit.
