Product is Great; RAM install instructions lacking; affects first boot
Overall, this product is good. However, the installation of RAM and some peripherals is super tricky and can be frustrating, testing your patience. The instructions for installing RAM are not clear, online research confirms this over the past few years. Probably due to the Chinese language translation. The instructions say RAM should be placed in A1+B1 slots if two sticks, but doesn't say anything about a single stick of RAM. The computer will not boot if your *first* boot is with two stick of ram (or more). You *must* only install a single stick, in slot B1 for the computer to boot. After the first boot, you can then add your other sticks. Also, if you are adding a GPU, do not install the GPU on first boot either; install the GPU afterwards. I waited until I installed the OS and all updates and drivers.I spent way too many hours pouring over forums and message boards to get this thing to work. Just FYI.Again, the product is really good... just be aware of the installation nuances and lack of appropriate instructions.

Good board so far
I just built my rig a few days ago and haven't had much of a chance to put it to work but the initial quality of this board seems good. I paired it with an Intel i3-8100, Ballistix Sport 8gb DDR4-2400, and an EVGA 1050 Ti for a mid-range budget build. Booted with no issues on the first attempt so I was pretty happy about that. My only real complaint is with the documentation. It could have been a little more clear about certain things like RAM priority but I did manage to decipher it. I didn't realize my mistake until after I had installed my CPU cooler so I had to remove it to relocate my RAM from slot A1. (RAM priority is: A2, B2, A1, B1). Also, after installing my GPU in the first PCIe x16 slot, I realized that is rendered both of the x1 slots un-usable. I expected that for the first x1 slot but when I installed my wireless card in the 2nd x1 slot, it was about 2mm from my GPU fan, not leaving enough clearance for airflow. In hindsight I probably should have gotten a standard ATX board for extra room but a USB wifi adapter solved the problem.

Great motherboard so far
Great motherboard so far. I like its low profile so you can squeeze in different size CPU coolers or radiators without hitting mobo heat-sinks. I originally found this when checking out PC parts for Origin PCs and this is one of the options they use. I liked the price point on Amazon and it had everything I was looking for in a motherboard. Make sure to change your Profile in BIOS to set it to the correct RAM speed. You need to exit/restart to see the changes made take affect for things like RAM or Fan speeds.I don't use SLI graphics cards, but I think that would be the only issue with this mobo because of how close the bottom PCI slot is to connectors at the bottom. An advantage to SLI with this shorter mobo would be using a mid size or full case as it will not suffocate the lower gcard against a PSU shroud or bottom of a case.

Very loose PCI slot, VRM heatsinks nothing special
Decent motherboard, VRM heatsink nothing special so careful when overclocking especially without a good CPU cooler. I returned it due to a very loose PCI expansion slot. I was refunded my money by Amazon, so thanks for that. Not a very detailed review but their website for the product shows you everything you really need to know, except they say that the VRM heatsink is fantastic. It's mediocre at best. It's worth the money you pay for it. Went with an ASUS Strix instead, I'm much happier.

Unlike the posted product specs, The ASRock Z370M Pro4 doesn't have USB 3.1. If you need USB 3.1 buy something else.
The ASRock Z370M Pro 4 is advertised as including USB 3.1 I/O. It does have USB 3.0 but no USB 3.1. The specs including USB 3.1 as a featured part of this motherboard are all over the website, on the box it comes in etc. The device manager in windows only shows an Intel(R) 3.0 USB eXtensible Host Controller and a USB Root Hub (USB 3.0). When I tried to instal the USB 3.1 driver from the included driver disc (Asmedia host controller driver setup) Asmedia (v1.16.38.1) I get this:Warning! The Asmedia USB Host Controller was not found.So... There is no 3.1 hardware on the motherboard to support with their driver. By the way a request for assistance from ASRock has been unanswered for over a week now. I use a P.C. for my work... HELLO? Other than a fraudulent representation of the product ASRock is selling, The Z370M Pro4 is functioning OK so far other than the fact that I can't use the 3.1 devices I bought it for. I also returned the first ASRock Z370M Pro4 and got a second one assuming it was a problem with a single motherboard. The second one is the same. ASRock motherboard Motherboards Z370 PRO4

Great mATX Board
Tight fit for everything to be sure, but is to be expected in a mATX MoBo. The BIOS has a nice feel to it and is easy to use. Very intuitive. Seems durable and fit the case with no issue whatsoever.

Good All Around
So far I have had no problems with this motherboard. UEFI is easy to use and this board has all the features I needed for my build. This board does lack some of the more premium features but has all the basic necessities.

This mother board did not come with SATA cables. I luckily had extra from previous builds.

My first PC build. Went ok!
I recently built my first PC build, and chose this motherboard based on the USB-C port, and the price. I won't review this in too much detail since I have little point of reference, but as a first timer this motherboard made things relatively simple thanks to the detailed instructions in the box. Installation was simple enough, and the bios was fairly easy for me to figure out. Ultimately I managed to build a whole PC by myself and nothing went wrong so... 5 stars!

I received the product two days ago, but the upper side PCI-E slot didn't work, the motherboard can't detect the discrete graphic card.I then ordered another one, and it works perfectly.
