Excellent value, good system to protect your home.
I got this to replace an older 720p version of the same system. System comes with a remote and mouse, which is good depending on what you need to handle system wise. Mouse can be cumbersome if it's a simple display change so something like that, so the remote is a nice addition. While it would be nice to have a full 4k camera, the price jump from these nice 2k cameras to there is massive. 1440p should be fine for most home users though and it appears the DVR is capable of using 4k cameras, you would just have to buy them seperate. There is no audio on the supplied cameras, but again, the DVR does support it, so you can get cameras with audio after market. Setup is fairly simply, drill a few holes per camera, attach the quick connect cables and BAM, you're up. While it is an 8 channel system, it only comes with 4 cameras to start. This is fine, but the power supplies also only support 4 devices. If you plan to move beyond that, just keep in mind, you'll have to get power to them as well. I would prefer a bigger hard drive, as 1tb is a little small for 2k recording, but you can attach an external drive via USB 3.0 and expand the system that way, so if you really want too, you can open it up and replace the HD yourself with something more. That will void the warranty I'm sure, so just keep that in mind if you want to do it. All in all, very good system and a VERY good price.

Can't be happier with the purchase!!!
This is the first set of CCTV we ever owned, Due to package theft we finally decided to get us a security system to protect my house. After researched a bit we came across this system due to it's incredible low price and name brand of Samsung and we couldn't be happier as set up was a breeze. The picture quality was excellent as we can zoom into any detail on its capture image in our 4K TV with clarity. We also able to connect to the Wisenet app after some effort of setup and connect to our router and watch anywhere in our smartphone.

Good Hardware, terrible remote software
I bought this unit to replace an old Analog Swann DVR4-Pro-Net with Lorex CVC6985U cameras. The unit was fairly easy to install (a bit harder on old bodies like mine :) ). The DVR is connected to a WiFi extender Ethernet Port.Set-up is fairly easy to do, it would have been nicer if they supported a keyboard (I could not get it to work) to enter passwords, file names, etc. Virtual Keyboard and Remote text entries are kind of a PITA.Picture quality is pretty good, the cameras included have a narrow field of vision, not like the Lorex cameras. Night vision is so-so, I think because of the narrow view and the number of infrared LED'sFrom the unit, the menus are fairly easy to navigate and modify, the remote view software is something else. The WiseNet app is not very intuitive, very slow to respond and the picture quality not very good. It's hard to figure out how to retrieve the events captured, my set-up is motion detection only to save disk space. I need to easily find the event, view it and save it if needed.I was hoping for a way to monitor the system from a PC in the same internal network (I am kind of leary sending stuff to the cloud), supposedly the Hanwha/Techwin/Wisenet SmartViewer can be used but I can't get it to work yet.The Swann had a PC based console, not easy to use but at least I could do it.The system only has 1 TB Hard Disk, it would have been nice to have support for an external storage unit to store events and not having to re-write the internal drive. I heard that there is a way to do it but I haven't found it how to do it (yet)Overall is a decent unit for the price if you are aware of the remote app problems. Now let's see how the unit fares over time, it is hard to check system reliability in a couple of days

Nice system for the money. small compact DVR, great picture quality. Excellent experience!
I like how fast I received this item, 2 days it was here. If you're looking for a system that is easy to install, easy to set up with easy to follow instructions then I would highly recommend this system from this seller. I wish the fan on the DVR wasn't so loud, I'm glad it has a cooling fan. It is, however, a really loud one. Mine is in my office, I put it a cabinet that is out of view and quiets the noise. Will be ordering a couple more cameras to finish the system. I highly recommend this product.

Loved how clear the picture was but the software is ...
Loved how clear the picture was but the software is not as user friendly as they make it seem. You can view your cameras from a mobile device but images are not as clear and you cannot get motion alerts to mobile only email and instructions are not clear.

DO NOT BUY SDC-89440BC these 4mp Samsung systems without reading this
Every camera in the kit all four need to be replaced through Wisenet. All failed within the first thirty days. After contacting the seller who was no help I contacted Samsung. The return exchange process requires you to jump through hoops. Not to mention mounting and unmounting the cameras. A waste of time and money.1 out of the box had a crushed mount.2. Night vision failed once night vision turned on would not turn off3. Camera just kept shutting off.4. Night vision fail again this time when it switches to night vision it is like the shutter does not open fully to switch gray leaning a halo across top of the image. Be warned I have installed numerous systems including Loren Samsung Sony ect never have I seen these types of issues. It appears it is only These 4mp 89440BC cameras. I have a 1080p setup running for years now not one failure. It could also be the seller selling seconds without saying so in the listing.

If you can run wires, buy this kit... superior video quality and great value
Tremendous value for the money.Picture is so clear... you can almost read the license plates on cars going down my alley... HD is big enough to record many days of constant recording... and the motion-sensing feature is nice for searching for events.Easy to use.Be prepared to run wire, though... you'll get better picture quality and reliability with a wired solution.Go wired, unless you absolutely cannot run wire... this is the way to go.Phone app is also really convenient... nice to be able to check in on the house while out on vacation. :)
