Superior construction
Far superior in construction compared to other similar products on Amazon or elsewhere. I needed a gaiter that would fit over my pac boots to wear in deep snow. The material they use is very strong and the scotchlite reflective material is superb. I'm confident that no snow will work it's way into my boots because of the heavy duty material and the elastic drawstring closures at top and bottom. I understand the concern of a reviewer who mentioned that he would have to take off his XL boots to remove the gaiters but that isn't an issue for me. The other companies solved the problem with a couple of velcro closures as you wrap their gaiter around your pants, but then there are wide openings for snow or rain to easily get in and defeat the purpose of wearing a gaiter in the first place. If you want to best made, heaviest duty, high viz gaiter on Amazon...this is the ticket. I expect these to last a very long time and they are well worth the few bucks more than the other ones as you do get what you pay for.

A little impractical, unless you want to take your boots off to get them off.
These items are supposed to be worn over the bottom of your pants, but in order to put them on, you have to take your boots off! I bit inconvenient for most people. I got these for my husband and he couldn't put them on over his boots.If you want to wear these all day, I suppose it's not a big deal, but he was wanting these for when he rides his motorcycle to work at night. Other gaiters that he's owned either zip or velcro on. Not these, they are just a big tube with elastic on each end. Oh well, I suppose that they would go on if you have much smaller boots than the 12 wide that my hubby wears.

Looks nice but works poorly
They didn't stay up unless string was pulled very tight. Had to constantly tighten them when walking.
