E50 instead of E11
I'm writing after unwrapping and testing these headphones and I'm not often prompted to leave reviews:At this price point (under £35) you would be pushed to find better quality "in the ear" type headphones that could deliver the same reproductive quality. Its pretty awesome- the sound-stage and stereo separation are very good. I'm listening to hi-res audio files from Spotify, playing through a Sony Z5 compact smartphone using the DSEE HX filter. The trick is using a device with a decent DAC that has got enough output to put the power through these drivers....just read all the reviews out there from the audio engineers that will give you the best advice on this subject, you can then decide if you need to invest in a headphone amp or not.The results from these headphones are on a par with my Grado Hi-Fi headphones costing 3 times as much.I have quite small ear canals so was very impressed with the selection of silicone tips which are also supplied and tried the smallest ones which seem the best fit. Its a shame the "Comply premium Earphone tips" supplied weren't the same size to be able to fit me- but you'd be on to a winner if your ears fall into the "average size" category to be able to use these for the best isolation. The build quality for this price point is good, as with anything where small diameter wires are fed into a speaker I would be sure that they would eventually break through tug abuse (ooh err!)I'm really pleased with these and was seriously considering buying the E11's after reading the customer reviews on here but am glad that I saved about £8 by choosing the E50's which look just as premium and well built (in my opinion better looking)So, to sum up - Premium feel to the quality, awesome reproduction (probably not for "Bass heads") and a good selection of accessories. Carry case supplied could have been a better design as the wires don't coil into it very well- you just know that if your'e in a hurry one day the wires will get jammed up in the zip! but that's my only gripe :-)All for under £35........Its a NO BRAINER!

Highly recommended, don’t believe the bad reviews.
I’d like to hopefully clear up some of the varied information there seems to be out there on these. I’ve been working with and using high end audio systems for over 25 years and I’m always chasing a sound that makes me happy. Headphones have never really been my bag though, and for the longest time (easily 15 years) I’ve been using sennheisers entry level model of in ear.I always accepted that they were not a patch on the sound I was used to from my main system or even from my full size headphones but they sufficed. After the last pair of sennheisers broke I decided to hit Amazon and replace themAgain. In the search I decided I’d maybe switch brands and try the soundmagic E10. On the day I was buying, these E50 were less than half price at £20 and had a small voucher which brought price down to about £19.50 for me.They arrived and I’ve spent a few days listening and I can safely tell anyone reading this that they are an enormous step up on the cheap sennheisers, it’s not even close. The amount of clarity, resolution and smoothness are a massive leap. Yet the extra detail and clarity don’t come at the cost to ease of listening. They are incredibly smooth with a sweet and clean top end that doesn’t irritate. Some reviews have called these more forward and bright than the E10. I can’t speak for that model, but the E50 is definitely not bright sounding at all. Feed them some decent music from something better than a phones headphone jack and they’ll a reward (I use a lightning connected DAC on my iPhone). Some have accused them of being bass light. Again, not true. They need driving, as higher impedance phones, as a result, poor headphone amps built into laptops and phones may under drive them and fail to deliver the grunt needed for adequate low end. The bass I’ve heard from these is deep, rich, tuneful and in perfect proportion with every other part of the frequency range.A highly recommended budget headphone for those looking to step up from the very cheapest models. I don’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone keen to up their game. You’d get better from these and a nice external DAC dongle (audioquest dragonfly perhaps) than from a more expensive pair of headphones.Great purchase even at full price. A steal at £20!

Like a posher E10.
Going from first-gen E10 (broken right driver) to E50. Similar type, which is what I was looking for. Higher impedance, had to max out my Sansa MP3 player. Hard to tell left from right, but nothing unusual.Neutral sound overall, good clarity, more mid-bass, but could be the 'special' foams. Look and feels well built, I like the angled connector. The foams (can't remember the name) provide good sound isolation, and seem to help the low range.Worth the price hike? well, no, not over the E10.Good headphones? Yes, if you want a neutral sounding pair of plugs, with good detail. Not overly expensive.Would recommend? Depends on durability, but they do look like they can take punishment. More than the E10 or anything else I owned. E10 were solid to start with, weird that it's the internals that gave up first.Oh yeah, cable is relatively stiff, kinda springy. Not enough to beother me, but worth noting.EDIT : One Year ownership :Well, it's been a good year. But like the E10, one of the driver died. Cable maybe, don't care. But really, I'm not getting more much more durability than my Cresyn C320E, and I'm not being particularly brutal or careless.Sometimes, it takes one bad move to completely ruin earphones, so reliability tends to be patchy, unless they are truly built to take real punishement, and why I use to buy several cheap Cresyns (which are no longer availble, and were a great little purchase). So, the E50 failed the durability test. And, on we go, looking for a set of earphones that can last more than a year. Now purchased a set of Shure SE215K.

Great earphones for the price.
These really sound great and they fit great in my ear. Only thing I would change is the buttons for pause and volume change should be better defined. Also it seems weird to have the sound control on the left side instead of the right side, but that isn't really a big deal.

Fantastic sounding earphones for the money
I recommend using the Comply T-400 earbud tips as they will provide a better fit than the silicone earbud tips which are hard to place on the earphone. The sound stage is very detailed and is particularly noticeable while playing video games as a I can hear details which were not present when I used my old earphones.

Deplorable calidad de construcción - Excelente calidad desonido
13 Nov. 2024.
