Great local run-around vehicle
This scooter is so useful and fun. It is small enough to fit into an elevator. It can go to places bikes won't be appropriate. I go to work with it (2 miles each way), my kids go to swimming with it (4 miles), and my wife goes to grocery with it (a 25 lbs water melon, two or three gallons of cooking oil, a few 20lb bags of rice would be too heavy for any person to carry home, but won't be any problem with this little scooter.) As a result, this little scooter replaced our car: a hugh expense reduction!I had a eZip 500 before. I think these are the improvement eZip 750 made:1) Smoother accelleration. The throttle lowered the electric current at lowest gear, so you won't feel too much of a jolt from standing still. My old 500 used to hurt my lower back after repeated stop-N-goes. At higher speed, even close to full speed, the power is 750W vs 500W, so the you feel the power is stronger. Climbing hills becomes faster. The throttle respond to your command a fraction of a second quicker than the 500 model. Overall, that makes the throttle a much smoother feeling.2) Battery lasts a mile or two longer. And, you can charge the battery while riding. This feature was prohibited in the 500 version. If my kids and I want to go anywhere farther than factory specified limit, I'll bring a lithium battery (or any other types of battery), hooked up to a inverter, and charge the onboard battery while we are driving the eZip scooter!3) Front break is smoother and more effective than 500's rear drum break; less mechanical problem than 1000's disk break.4) Front shock-absorber reduces road shocks, but not enough though.I wish it had the following improvement though: it needs a rear shock absorber, it is still bumpy on New York City pot hole filled streets, even at 15 MPH or lower. My butt hurts after a long ride over uneven pavement. Seat is very ridged. I ended up replacing the seat with a cheap made-in-China "spring cousioned" seat to make my butt feel better. The tire is self-sealing. I got an object poked into my tire. I pulled the object out. There is fluid sealant inside the tire. run the fluid over the hole, pump it up, it runs as new!Don't forget to charge the battery. I always charge it whenever I can, at work, at friends house, in a park... Make sure charge it even after a short run, or not being used for two weeks. That'll prolong the battery life.=================== update after four months ===========================================I lowered the rating due to these facts,Chain/motor moving parts rely on three screws, which means high maintenance. My chain fell off a couple of times, screws loose.Too bumpy for daily commute. Needs to design both front and rear shocks + softy seat.

A Cure For Prozac?
This is the best present I have bought myself ever! The cost of the E-Zip 750 is very modest and it does everything I hoped it would do. Amazon's free shpping was excellent and amazingly, the scooter arrived exactly when the estimate said it would.I was prepared for an uncomfortable seat because I read several reviews in which the user mentioned replacing the seat. I do quite a bit of bike riding and do not have a complaint about the stock seat. I would however, remind other users that it is primarily a stand-on scooter with the option of sitting down. Keep an eye on the upcoming terrain and stand or lift your half-moons pior to going over bumps. If I were physially impaired, and unable to stand while riding, I would probably put a cushion or memory foam on top of the stock seat for increased comfort on bumps. Also, I did read a couple of reviews about range concerns... I weigh 185lbs and live in a semi-hilly area. I think my range is about 8 miles, but I also think I might be able to do better as I learn to ride the scooter more efficiently. The products documentation is very good; instructions are easy to understand. A parts diagram and parts list is included (be sure to take good care of this page as it may be very handy to have down the road of hard knocks.I did have a minor warranty issue with tire tube valve cores and was pleased by the phone assistance at currietech's 1-800 number. Hope this review helps, good luck!

it's a pretty good scooter
I recently just got this scooter and I've had it for about a week now. So far it's been fun but not fun enough, so I bought another one so I can have someone else go with me :)Pros:- Set up was a piece of cake. A few blood, sweat, and tears where put into it but a piece of cake is the right term for it.- I weigh about 150 lbs and live in a very hilly area. It takes me up to elevated areas with very little or no problem at all. Yes it's slows down a bit but don't you also slow down when riding your bicycle up hill? so yeah get over it.- As I was riding this scooter on the sidewalk, I heard out loud or too loud for that matter, a voice coming from a megaphone "Nice Scooter!" It was coming from a cop, I thought I was getting a ticket or whatnot, but I guess the cop was just giving me a compliment. Although you gave me a heart attack, you made me smile when I realize it was a compliment. So I thank you random cop.Cons:- I don't recommend riding this thing with one hand. Balancing is kind of hard. Unlike a bicycle where you have larger tires, it's easier to balance with one or no hands at all. It kind of bothers me that I have this little problem because when my back itches or something hits my face or when I sweat because of the heat, I would have to stop just to scratch my back or wipe my forehead. Aint nobody got time fo' dat..- The scooter makes this weird noise.. The sound of the motor is not very smooth, it sounds like the motor is having a hiccup or something. It bothered me the first couple of days but I got over it because the "fun" is greater than the annoying sound.- The scooter is a bit too heavy to carry down a few steps, but not a big deal, nothing my muscles can't handle. haha I'm just kidding. It's pretty heavy and I cry like a little baby every time I carry it down a step.Overall:- I have no regrets buying this scooter. I think you guys should buy one or two for that matter for the same reasons I have. I'm glad I bought this scooter. I can't wait for the second one to arrive so I can have someone else enjoy the ride along with me.
