My husband needed a new laptop that he could take to and from work. This lap top is lightweight, small and very portable. I chose this one for him because he also needed Microsoft Office. It is so nice that it came with a free year’s subscription. He also enjoys this laptop for personal use.

Kind of like a giant paperweight. I've used it maybe 5 or 6 times, still looks new. But it doesn't turn on anymore. Yes, its plugged in, and no I haven't tried to turn it off and on again. I mean, its have to turn on for that right?

Volume does not work.

Was gifted this laptop. Had it 3 days and two contacts with Dell. Laptop cannot be updated due to the limited hard drive. Was given two options, 1) Use it w/o updating - yikes!!! and 2) Reinstall Windows 10 to get the updates and have to continually set everything up each time.I and Dell removed every possible software program that came installed. This laptop cannot safely run Windows 10 and should NOT be sold. Right now I am looking into how to put a Linux distro on it, but I have never used Linux.DO NOT BUY! Dell states it is only for email and surfing, but being unable to install updates makes it even unsafe for doing that.UPDATE: Did a complete "clean" reinstallation w/ Windows 10 Oct. 2018 version. I have lots of space now! I installed WPS Office, Brother Printer software, Chrome browser, Files are "on demand" in a cloud. I have 12 GB of space left! I have no Dell software and pc seems to be working fine. Took me all day to figure it out, but running much better now.

It is basicaly a fold up tablet. It has no actual harddrive. The 30GB HD is part of the motherboard. Probably no different than a Micro SSD drive. The OS takes up almost all of the space on the so called HD. I scanned it with Crucial.coms scanner and ordered the HD they recommended and after disassembling the computer found that it HAS NO UPGRADABLE HD. The HD is just a chip in the motherboard. I did upgrade it from 4GB of Ram to 8 Gb of Ram but the overall speed was not a noticeably improved. Instead of upgrading the HD "WHICH CAN'T BE DONE" you buy a 32 GB Micro SSD disk and insert it into a port on the left side. I mapped my "Download Folder" and my "Documents" folder to that disk since space on the HD is very limited. After doing a complete install of Office 2007 and Adobe 9 the HD was full. I bought it on sale on Nov. 23rd for $161.00. I would be happy to sell it for that and include the 8 GB ram upgrade. I do not--do not recommend buying this computer.

My wife bought me this for college and it has caused me nothing but trouble. The thing freezes up when I’m switching between word and my browser to do research for a paper. Every time I try and watch a video for a class, I need to shut everything else down and it still doesn’t work. I’m then forced to watch the video on my iphone. Sad that my iPhone 6 has more processing power than this hunk of junk. DO NOT BUY THIS!

I got this for home and ended up using it for work. I love it. I do all my emails and have facebook running and etc. it's been nothing but good to me. Especially for the price. Would highly recommend.
