Beautiful Baby Shoes (Annie's Attic) Paperback – April 23, 2010

Definitely not for a beginner. The baby shoes are made with a variety of yarn weights...baby, sport and worsted. This is nice, since you can make various sizes, following the same instructions. I expected all of the patterns to be worked in worsted weight, as they were in the previous book, Baby Bootie Boutique. This item was eligible for the Super Saver shipping, so I was able to avoid paying the $7.00 shipping, if ordered directly from Annie's Attic. If you enjoy a challenge, this book is for you.

I like all the variety and the size options in this book. I struggled with some of the patterns and needed to call my sister for explanations a few times. I think of myself as an intermediate crochet-er and while most of it is quite easy, some parts of the pattern are difficult to understand. But I love that the book gives you the basic idea of baby shoe styles and you can modify to create your own and make up new ideas. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this to make most of the girly booties to decorate the table for a baby shower. The shower honoree is into fashion trends, so I think these are more suitable for her than the old-fashioned types. Having a child myself, I know babies rarely keep anything on their feet for long, so I'm not expecting the baby to actually wear them, but I think they will look really cute on the table. Plus, the kimono shoes have an interesting technique, which I don't feel was explained very clearly - but to be fair, I couldn't think of a better way to explain it myself. It just took some figuring out.

The booties are cute and easy to make. I will personalize them for the little one they are going to. You can let your imagination fly. Quick and easy little shoes.

This book was a big helpOn making new projects

All of the patterns are crocheted. I was hoping for a few knitting patterns too, but they are very sweet. Reasonably easy.

I have made a few pair of these shoes for gifts and I have to say,they came out as beautiful as the book says. I will be spending more time making these shoes in many colors. Very easy to read patterns with good results.

Cute with clear instructions

A lovely book with lots of different baby shoes. However these are american style instructions so if you are a beginner you may have problems understanding the instructions. Annies crochet web site does have some crochet classes.

I really think Amazon should tell people wether the crochet books are UK OR US as a single crochet in US is a double crochet in UK,a double crochet in US is a TREBLE in UK etc so you need to be an experienced crocheter to realize this

Really love the shoes in this pattern book. Some of the patterns were a bit difficult for me to follow, didn't seem to make sense! Have made some lovely shoes though and will continue to use this book.

These little shoes are so lovely and look very easy to make. My only complaint is that the yarns are not English grades so difficult to work out what "ply" they are. I suppose it will be trial and error but itching to get started!
