This just works as a blow dryer while you're combing. if you have curly hair then it won't really help however straightened hair can be easily maintained. Basically it doesn't substitute a hair straightening iron. Good quality product overall.

Good product but not suited for all hair types. Detailed review.
I have thin, wavy hair texture and this is a great alternative to using a straightener as it causes lesser damage and takes way lesser time to style. But that's just my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this to people with thick, very curly hair texture as it wouldn't give you the results you expect. This does NOT produce pin straight hair, just smooth and manageable half-straight hair which I prefer. Of course, you could get the same results with a good blow dryer and a large barrel ceramic brush, but this is much more easier to use. I'm not denying that it produces a little frizz like any other blow dryer you use to style with, but that can be taken care of by applying a little serum once you're done. Overall, this is a pretty decent alternative to a straightener if you don't expect pin straight hair and causes lesser damage and takes lesser time to set (15-20 mins for 60% wet, thin textured wavy waist length hair). I've tested it by styling one side and air drying the other side of my hair and noticed the difference so I feel it was worth it for my type of hair.

Very good product.. Worth the price
The one product I will suggest anyone to buy is this Philips Air Styler. It worth the money and I have even recommended to others to try the product. In our house, we have 3 of them and all of them are in perfect condition with not a single complaint.

Do not fry your hair like straighteners and do not feel as heavy as blow dryers
It definitely do not fry your hair like straighteners and do not feel as heavy as blow dryers. It is combination of two and this is what makes it perfect for every "other" day use. I have frizzy dry wavy hair then too I love it. Put it on second heat setting, and you'll get the straight hair not poker straight silky shiny as we see on advertisements but manageable hair for sure. If you're worried about heat that'll burn your hair. Well , keep this device moving and do not keep it near scalp. I use it with heat protect-ant sometimes and 5 inch away from the scalp. Because my waves start forming on lower ends and I do not want heat to mess with hair growth.

NOT a straightner..jst a dryer with comb..
Go for it if you want a casual hair dryer with an attached comb..the comb is not dense enuf to hold ur hair tight as normal brushes does...so if u hav thin hair it is almost a lousy dryer...if u hav 'really' thick & dense hair then it is better as the comb will hold d hair lil tight..& d power is less (650W) compared to normal dryers (900+W)..so hair will have a naturally wavy look dan a straight look..product looks really classy & elegant..

Makes hair look good after use
***THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT WORK IN HUMID PLACES. NO POINT TRYING HARD DURING RAINY DAYS.I bought this a few months ago when it was winter. It works fine when the weather is dry. But what I realized, hair setting does not stay, if there is moisture in the air. Also, the moment hair comes in contact of water, it resumes the frizzes.. So better wear a shower cap while bathing. With these precautionary notes, let me put it this way:It's a simple handy tool for hair care.. I anyway was not looking for a hair straightener which it is not.. but makes hair look good after use.. effect lasts for few hours..I have curly hairs with large locks..I never wanted to straighten them as they look nice.. after i blow dried my hair with air straightener they looked even more beautiful and manageable..Use it regularly on the thermo-protector (TP) mode.. put hair oil before washing hair..if your hair is excessively dry let a little oil remain on hair while washing.. use hair-serum (or heat protector serum) and blow dry your hair in TP mode.. see the results.. your hair will never be damaged as you are not using very hot air for blow drying..
