for a long time I wanted to have such a product. But I did not want to waste money on a dud. I enquired with people who had used similar product and looked at the reviews also. All had mixed views. The opinions had certain positive points. So I ordered this on amazon for a price which is the best bargain. As per the review and product brochure, about 2-3 weeks of time was necessary for about 2-3 weeks of time for the skin to get adjusted. After using the product for about a month now here is my opinion. Pls do not compare this with a razor. The product is very easy. During the first few days, do not go for a very close shave at the first instant itself. Just glide the shaver over the skin with a gentle pressure until u feel that a further close shave is necessary. Then in a circular motion move the shaver with a little more pressure so that one can get a very clean and close shave. I have used applying foam, water and dry. I like the dry shave, because it has not hassles and cleaning can be done later. But applying water is sufficient. Water proof is good. Only problem is unable to know when the battery is full while put on for charging.One can buy this product without comparison for a razor. Ablsolutely convenient when on journey. All the problem of water in a cup and rinsing and cleaning gone. clean shave with ease and comfort.

Philips Aqua Touch performs as per my expectation. Initially I was reluctant to buy this due to adverse reviews that I read.I took a chance and ordered the product. The adverse reviews were due to wrong appreciation of this product.One cannot compare this with safety Razors with multiple razors.Those who shave after some thick growth will definitely find Safety Razor has better utility. But people who shave daily or alternative days when growth is not heavy, will find Aqua Touch a very convenient product with high utility.First if you are in a hurry Dry shaving with this product is convenient.If you are going to a party in the evening and you need a shave, this is an ideal one.Wet shaving if correctly used does not burn or pinch skin. Some had complained about poor shaving under the Jaw/Chin. If you know how to use this product by fully tilting your head, you can get a good shave. Basically one needs some practice before you find that it serves your purpose more than you expected.

I have been using electric shavers since many years now. Uptill now I have only used dry shavers of Phillips and Remington rotary as well as foil shavers, all of them were disappointing in only one way that the problem area was under the neck, where it caused maximum irritation, but the new dry/wet shavers from Phillips are a very pleasant surprise. The shave is a quick and fast. In my opinion, using electric shavers is much like shaving with a razor for the first time. One will need time to master the art of electric shaving, but once you are comfortable with it, every thing is fast and easy. In my opinion the new Auatouch shavers are a huge improvement over the dry shavers. Kudos to Phillips, the shaver performed beyond my expectation.

It is really a good shaving option for people with disability or under treatment for various disease or conditions, it works quiet well, although shaving isn't as clear as can be achieved with a manual razor, but its ok.A number of cheap but well functioning products are available in the market but as I had to use it to shave an elderly patient (my father) I didn't wanted to take any chance.Its design helps is consumer friendly and skin doesn't gets in direct contact of the blades.It can be charged once a week and works throughout the week. although charging is a long process its takes a few hours.There seems to be only one drawback of this product right now, spare blades are costly and not available everywhere.

Phillips has always been the trustworthy, quality manufacturer of electronics and this product lives up to that expectation! It does feel that it was designed to last for 2 years, unlike most of the electronics these days that may snowball on you any time of the day!The only (subtle) difference between this and the AT620 is the pop up trimmer, in case you're wondering!One minor annoyance was that I couldn't find the product ID anywhere (on the product itself) - the user guide mentions that you can register on their website to get a free 1 year extended warranty, but that needs a unique product ID. I couldn't find it in the place that the website said it would be - it could be on the box somewhere but by that time I'd already gotten rid of it!

The shaver should come with a choice of charging adapters since it's being offered to the US. I went ahead and bought the correct adapter. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating.
