Mikuna Protein Powder has been creating quite a buzz in the health and wellness community, and for good reason. This product stands out among the myriad of protein supplements available today, primarily due to its unique ingredient: Chocho. What is Chocho?Chocho is a type of Andean Lupin, a legume indigenous to the high altitudes of the Andes Mountains in South America. It's been a dietary staple in indigenous communities for centuries, revered for its nutritional density and versatility. Perfect nutrition
I love this product, it has 40% more protein than pea powder and the nutrient content is much more significant. It also is a genuine meal replacement and tastes delicious. I do add native cacoa also and broccoli sprouts. This does help with weight loss as well.

Good taste and texture plus few clean ingredients.
Great taste and texture even with the added fiber which is great. Powerful 20 g of protein. Simple list of ingredients. Easy to blend into a smoothie with berries and greens for example. Not happy with the 2g added sugars but the sources are not bad. I would buy again and I do recommend it.

Plant-based protein powder
Absolutely love this product. It’s the only protein powder I’ve found that tastes great. I would have given it 5 stars but am annoyed with the packaging. Hard to read nutritional labels when they put a sticker, that seems to be impossible to remove, over the top of the information.

I hate that I have a negative opinion, but I do
I am so sorry to report a negative opinion about this product because the company and its goals are wonderful. I’m a vegetarian who can’t eat soy, so I buy a lot of protein powders like this. Therefore, I’m familiar with them, their appearance, quality, etc. I’m basing this review on about 5 attempts to make a smoothie using a variety of milks - almond, hemp, flaxseed, and coconut. After that, I decided to return the product. The best thing I can say about the protein powder is that it had a good taste and smell. The texture/consistency when made into a smoothie with a powerful blender was chalky. Within 2-4 minutes, it consistently collected into a big glob, soaking up all the liquid. There was none left to drink, which was why I reluctantly decided to submit a review describing what happens. This protein powder is slightly expensive, but I was willing to pay that for the nutrition it offers, as well as the company’s goals. Unfortunately, it isn’t even something that I can “try to” drink because it coagulates and soaks up the smoothie. I want this company to succeed, but this product really needs improvement to be useful. I wish I could give it a more favorable review, but that’s my experience with it.

Best protein if used correctly
I’ve tried many vegan and whey-based proteins over the years, and by far Mikuna’s chocho protein has been the most effective!Vegan protein powders are usually pea based, that can easily cause bloating, gas, and very soft stool.Whey based proteins are not as easily digestible and tend to be too watery or have other unnecessary ingredients to create the right texture.Although chocho has a grainy texture, it downer have any side effects like peas. It’s not ideal for just mixing with water, as it does settle and you need to keep mixing it while drinking. But it’s an amazing addition to a morning cereal with chia seeds, flax and hemp seeds. It packs a large amount of protein and holds me over for many hours. The Mikuna chocho has become part of my morning routine! Love this product. Wish they have better distribution and availability.
