Works well, just very short rods. Takes care and a little practice to get right.
With a fair bit of sanding down, as you can see, the repair is barely visible. (I'm not finished the sanding/polishing just yet, but took a break to take the photo and write a review while it was still fresh in my mind). It takes a little while to get a hang of the process, but it helps if the surface is very, very clean. I wouldn't say the included brush is up to the job, but some 240 grit paper to abrade the sides and a Dremel to cut in a V where the crack was did the trick. Also the instructions say to heat the material and not the rod. Definitely - but too much heat is also super bad. The one part I was repairing went from hot enough to too hot and became deformed because I kept the torch on the item, just moving it away from the area I was touching with the brazing rod. Managed to save it with a little hammering and a lot of sanding down. It was fairly thin, so very easy to overheat. My biggest complaint with the product is that the rods themselves are only around 23cm long, so they get down to an uncomfortably short length very quickly. Half the rods at twice the length would be much better. At £2.40 each, they're also quite expensive, but cheaper than a replacement vintage Strand lamp, so overall, I'm happy.

Check sizes
There’s very little info on the size but in the description it says 23.5cm which is very short. However the ones that arrived are a definite 22cm. There’s not even an average size. So I’m disappointed to say the least. No doubt they’ll do the job but I feel short changed.

Works excellently
Received this in post morning, used with Map Gas to braze an aluminium 50 x 50 L section box frame this afternoon, first time brazing aluminium and all went very successfully. Also, used my fish tail on a butane torch for preheating to get the metal temperature up (there was a lot of aluminium to heat) then used a Map torch to concentrate on the brazing area. No messing with flux required!
