Great and safety addition to a tired walker!

I admit, I never really thought about the way walkers/rollators worked until my dad started using one. The other day, while taking him to a doctor's appointment, I noticed that the back legs would drag across the ground. I asked him, "don't those end up wearing out?" "Yeah, they gave me an extra set," he answered. That's when I realized that these things had consumable parts, just like a set of tires on a bike.When I saw these available for review, I figured I would (or, rather, my dad would) give them a try. And yes, as the title implies, they do work well. I'm not sure if the glides really do a whole lot, but that might have to do with the way my dad uses his walker. As a set of replacement feet, though, they're great. He really likes them.

I got these because the stock feet would always make a terrible sound when rubbing on the linoleum floors. These glide nicely and I don't sacrifice safety by lowering the friction significantly. They hold to the floor well as soon as pressure is applied, so I don't have to worry about falling. This is a great and safer alternative to cutting tennis balls.

Needed a replacement set for a folding walker and these are perfect! They perfectly fit standard size walkers with 1” tubular legs. They install easily and firmly - they won’t move around. We have two regular walkers and these ski glides are stronger, thicker, and tougher than the originals. We have hardwood floors and these have NOT damaged or scratched them. Big improvement over the old glides and tennis ball covers. Highly recommended!

I got the 4 pack of Walker Ski Glider because my mother owns 2 walkers. One walker she uses strictly indoors, and a second one remains in the garage for outdoor use. Both walkers have 2 wheels and 2 caps. It is the caps that gives her frustration when using her walkers, so I thought it would be a good idea for making her walker smoother to push. I installed these gliders and what a difference it makes. Wasn't difficult to do either, just remove the caps and insert the legs into the gliders. Once I was done, she took the walker for a spin. I had her push her walker all around the house and she definitely felt it was much smoother than before. We are both happy. My only concern is if the glides will end up scratching her wood floors over a period of time.

I'm used to buying these walker skis from a store and the ones available are small and made of white plastic. These are rather larger, black and made more of a rubber type of material. They fit perfectly on the walker, and have a washer inside to make sure the walker pipes do not punch through the rubber feet. They look rather larger on the walker but the glide quite as well. They do not interfere and while I though the rubber material might interfere with the gliding smoothness, it doesn't at all. I guess it really is a sort of heavy duty gliding ski, which works well. My mother in law had no problem adapting to these feet, which is the real test for medical equipment like this. Would recommend highly!

These fit our walker perfectly — it has wheels on the front and had the more traditional tennis balls on the back — with these slides on, the walker no longer catches on the strip between the carpet and the wood floor or the the threshold going outside — they are thick, strong and probably made of the same material as football helmets — only reason not to order these is if your walker has less traditional diameter tubing

Nice sturdy gliders but hard their hard plastic bottoms will potentially damage hardwood floors. They are relatively easy on / easy off so I made an extra set with moleskin on the bottom to protect the floor.
