Women's Elegant Short Sleeve Wear to Work Casual Pencil Dress with Belt

I ordered this in black, I wear a Lg/XLg depending on the brand. I am 5'9 at 189. I wear a size 14 pant, 40D bra. I read the reviews and knew this dress ran small. I ordered the largest size available; 14/16. It arrived and as reviewed, has a chemical smell. I'm sure this will wash out. The dress is thicker than tee-shirt material, and made of cotton. The silhouette is straight, and the attached belt can synch in at the waist to give you the hour glass shape. I have a long torso, big bust and the 'waist' section is a little higher than I'd like. With further weight loss, it will fall to the normal/right area on my body, I'm assuming. This dress is more like a size 12/14 or a med/large as it has some give and stretch. It is sung from thigh to lower abdomen, than loose throughout the upper stomach and ribs, then tight again over the chest, sides, underarms, upperback and upper arms. If you have back fat/rolls/big arms/ or a lower abdomen pouch, this dress may not be what you're looking for. I am speaking openly here to the bigger girls, as I myself am one, and was 260lbs at one point. I know the struggles of online shopping when you arent a size 2. With the right 'suck & tuck' undergarments, that smooth out the midsection, back, butt, and FUPA areas, this dress is fine. With just underwear and bra [on larger women] this dress may not be as flattering as you'd like. With all that I just said.. this dress is excellent quality for its price, the fabric is mid to moderate quality, the length is nice [right below the knee], the neck opening is wide and shows the upper shoulder, but not fully to the edge of the shoulder, for some added sexiness, so a strapless, or a racer back strappy bralette looks the best. It can be dressed up or down. It's very versatile and I will definately buy another, once I'm down a few more sizes. Glad I got the black as Im wearing it in 2 weeks and the other colors would reveal much more that I'd allow. Lol, hope this helped my fellow women out there and I would recommend this dress for its style, quality, look, shape, color, and price.

OMG!! I absolutely love this dress and I plan on purchasing every color. I can wear this at work or if I am going out. The fabric is just perfect and not thick like I was expecting. I'm 5'5 170 and I ordered an XL. Overall, I am very very pleased!!

I am obsessed with this little dress. I am 5'7, 130 lbs, usually a US size 6. I originally ordered a size Medium, per the chart (original chart said US size 6-8). It fit great, except being more fitted than the way the model demonstrated it. The skirt was also above the knee, and I wanted something a little longer. I exchanged it for a Large (again, original chart read was different and read Size 10-12.) It is "big" on me (I have to tie the bow tight,) but it fits like it fits on the model. Skirt to the knee, slouchy top with a beautiful boatneck. The bow can be tied in the front or the back. I like it in the front. The top is tapered to the "belt" in the middle, so it's not just a t-shirt... it accentuates your shape. Very flattering. I'd recommend going with one size up for a great fit. Again, the chart was true to size, I just wanted something a little longer and slouchy-er. It's crazy comfortable and perfect for summer/fall. And of course, POCKETS!!! I am buying more in other colors and with the other sleeves. This is a perfect "throw on and go," "dress it up or dress it down" dress. Great for work and after work. Accentuates all your curves, and minimizes your stomach area if you have a tummy. I’m 5’7, 208 lbs, size 12/14. I bought the size 2x, could’ve went to an XL but these dresses are for work. Have pockets, stretches, hits right by knee. I bought both the dark gray and green- it’s more of a dark emerald green.

Great dress for the price! I hate trying on clothes so I crossed my fingers added a size 8/10 or medium in my cart and pressed proceed to checkout. When the dress arrived I was not disappointed with the length or fit. The dress is as pictured and is cute as can be. I wore it today for work as a matter of fact and received a few compliments. I already ordered in two more color and I am excited for them to arrive in the mail.The only con I would say is the dress had a funky smell when I took it out of the package but I let it air out on a hanger for a day or two and the odor was gone.FYI: I am 5'1, 145lbs if that helps any others with sizing.

Update:Took off one star. The connection on the waist area is not straight. You can see it on my picture. And by the way, I ordered green one :)Very comfortable and soft fabric, little bit thin, but it's good for summer. And it has pockets!!! I'm 5'2" about 118 lb. Ordered small size. Fits perfect. Little bit longer than I expected, but, maybe, I can alter it. Or going to ware it with heels.Overall, very good for this price.

I LOVE this dress! I am 5' 5", 130 pounds and ordered a small. Medium would have fit well if I wanted a bit more of a baggy look. It is very slimming and good quality. It is the perfect mix of casual and classy and can easily be dressed up or down. It would also be great for work if you work in an office where you cannot have open backs/bare shoulders, etc. I was worried it would be see-through, but it is not! The only thing that I wish was different about it is the length of the ties so when tying a bow it could be a bit bigger. Overall, SO happy with this dress!

I’m fairly large and it’s very difficult to find dresses that are flattering on my stomach. This dress is absolute perfection, it hides my tummy while and slimming me. The material is nice and light and I am so happy with this dress! I will buy more in other colours!More information to help with fit: Im 5'3'' and I weigh 194 pounds ( yes, I know...) As you can see from the picture it hides my problem areas very well! I usually wear size 16. I hope this helps!

5'4" 130 pounds and ordered the 4-6 in red. Love the material. Size is good but I could have ordered a larger one.I love it!Update: I ordered another one , one size up, in blue with long sleeves and it's a little bit too large.I wore the one I bought 1-2 times now even if it's a little bit tight to wear at work and I still love it!

Arrived day earlier than expected, good dress, I would be a bit wary on the sizing, I am a 14, and 5ft8,and ordered the Large, although it fits fine, it is a bit snug (I am of a diet so losing a few ponds will sort that out!) The picture shows the length is below the knee, but for me it comes just on the knee. The material is nice but thin and see through so you may have to wear a slip under the skirt. On the whole, pleased with this dress.

Was okay.I usually wear a 6 in dresses due to my larger chest - 8 if I want it really loose/bigger. I’m 34DD, 135lbs and 5’4. I ordered a 8-10 hoping this dress would fit loosely.Wrong.There are two sets of sizes listed (one for short sleeve-my pic and one for lantern style sleeve). There were no species as to s-m-l sizing just numbers ie 4-6, 6-8 etcI ordered 8-10 but the dress came marked as medium. Had I known it was a sm/med/large type sizing I would’ve ordered a large (10-12) as most reviewers said it fit smaller.The medium fits but it’s tight and not how I wanted or intended on wearing it.It still is cute and flattering though, pretty good material, not hard, good stretch,pretty plain which I like. ...And am going on vacation in a few days and don’t think I have time to return/exchange. If I have time I will order another size up. I feel if I keep and wash it, it will shrink and then be way to tightNot see through at all.*UPDATE*I returned it and ordered two sizes up, reminder, I usually wear a 6 or 8 if I want it looser. I ordered and love the fit of the size 12-14. Material as noted above and still not see through.Note my pics are of the smaller size which I returned. It does not look like the image on the amazon. I order 2 sizes bigger than the size I usually get from anywhere so that the top or torso section will be more loose or buggy but this dress still looks like an empire cut with the skirt too long. In other words its really high waisted. The neck like is disappointing as well, given the size I ordered, it does not have the extended reaching-the-either-shoulder-bone look. The only thing that looked as in the picture is the 3/4 sleeves.

Fantastic dress. Really perfect. Fits so well and looks really stylish. Surprising given the low cost and that the material is just jersey. I was so pleased with it that I promptly bought the short sleeved one too. Perfect for work, and pockets are a great touch. It comes up a little small, so order up. I wear a 10 and the medium was perfect for me.

The cut of this dress is PERFECT. I like the look of pencil skirts but feel I cannot wear them because they accentuate my lower stomach too much. This was a nice balance of snug in the waist and knee but flowy and flattering in the stomach area.The colour is spot on to the picture (I got the dark grey). The material is appropriate for the price, thicker would have been nicer but for the price, it works.My boyfriend complimented me MULTIPLE times. This is my new favorite dress! Appropriate for work, or throw on some white sneakers for a more casual look. MUST BUY!

I ordered the blue and it’s exactly as on pics. Good fit. Tried it on, I am 5.3 and it ends just above the knees for me. Arrived wrinkled which is expected - yet to wash and wear to see how much it wrinkles.

This dress is a nice style & colour, but the size is impossible to gauge as it comes up really small. I initially ordered a 12/14 which was more like an 6/8, returned it easily and ordered an 18 (!) which is still snug!

These dresses are great. Nice comfy jersey material. You can dress them down with joggers or flats. Lovely flattering shape. This is my second one although I find them a little too long. I'm 5 foot 1

It's not a flowing material as the picture suggests. It's more of a figure hugging dress (body-con). Got mine in black - it does fit nice but you have to be fairly slim to get away with it.
