Keeps a 12V Medium Sized Car Battery Topped Up
This works successfully at maintaining a trickle charge to the battery on my Mazda 3. It is important to recognise that it won't charge up a flat battery. I could not use it with the in-car socket (it disconnects when the ignition key is removed) so I had to make a "custom" charge lead to connect direct to the battery, complete with in-line fuse. I believe the instruction leaflet should give some guidance on this, but it doesn't, so you have to improvise. But the panel does work. Not so sure it is the cheapest out there - I think if you shop around you will save a bit, but they will not have the Sealey name.

No sun required
I bought this product as my second car can be left undriven for weeks on end and its security soon runs the battery flat. Where it is parked gets little direct sun. I leave this solar powered charger resting in the front of the car and it's battery has never gone flat since. And its so simple to plug in and on.A great, efficient and economic solution to a rarely used second car. Just check or change your cigarette lighter to always live.

Works!
Works well for what it is. It even works once its been submerged in water. My only issue is the pre drilled holes for the suction cups to attach to a window, well they were not drilled so I am unable to use them for that purpose. Apart from that it works very well.

Good piece of technology
Waited a few weeks to review this item as there is no indication of whether the car battery is charging-such as a light that changes colour. I was really pleased that my old MPV started first time after weeks of non use. Battery often gone flat by that time and need the AA to visit. The charger seems to have done a really good job. I paid attention to comments online that all trickle chargers should be disconnected prior to starting the engine to avoid reversing the charge. I was sceptical about this charger working but as I needed to park my car a distance from the house and had no mains power, I decided to try a trickle charger. Would recommend based on experience but the product could be improved by having a light which indicated status of battery life.

Way under powered
Sealey are usually reliable. This has taken weeks to charge a small discharged 12v lithium battery and it still isn't fully charged.Nice looking piece of carp

A handy little solar panel to keep the battery topped up
I bought this to keep my motorhome battery trickle charging whilst it is laid up. It sits on the dashboard but it is supplied with suction cups if you want to attach it directly to the windscreen. It appears to be very well made being sturdy and not at all flimsy. It appears to be doing its job as my battery voltage has increased since I have been using it.You can buy an accessory lead that provides a permanent connection to the battery complete with a in line fuse.

Limited application
This is a budget model so don't expect too much, but I did think to advertise a product for multi use including boats & then say in the small print that its not weather proof is somewhat incongruous. Neither does it store power, it simply transfers it. Also be clear if your socket will accept it or whether to use the clips direct onto the battery. The latter works for me to top up a battery but only to a limited extent.
