Dritz 20125 Clothing Care Magic Wand Stain Remover Stick, 2.5-Ounce

This stain remover works great. It has removed old stains that other pre-treaters were unable to do after many washings. When I get a new stain now I start with the usual spray on pre-treater and if that hasn't worked after washing the item, I let it air dry and re-wash it the next time using MagicWand. Many times the stain will come out. Four stars instead of 5 because when there is about a half an inch left in the tube, it falls out of the tube and it is a bit of a struggle trying to use remainder.

Magicwand is a great product. My family has been using the stain stick at least once a week for 8 months and we have yet to find a stain it will not remove. This stuff is AMAZING!!! For bad stains you may have to treat the item a few times (and use a toothbrush to asssist) but be patient, it will get the stain out. I recommend getting at least 2 sticks b/c you will find that you use it quite a bit and the tube is not all that big. This stuff is also great on old stains not just new ones. I highly recommend Magicwand. I just bought 5 tubes to give as Christmas stocking stuffers.

I had these mysterious blue stains appearing on my laundry every so often, couldn't figure out what they were, but had to get them out somehow.Magic Wand got out most of the stain, but not quite all - that's OK, since I had no idea what the stain was, so I was just throwing everything at it that I could find.Turns out, the stain was the rubbed-off print from a carton of dishwasher tablets. There's not much that will get that completely out.

This Magic Wand stain remover stick works on every type of stain I've ever tried, including ink, blood, baked-on sweat, tar, motor oil, speghetti sauce, olive oil, vinegar, ketchup, egg, beet juice and red wine. In fact, I haven't had to buy any other stain treatments since I discovered this one over ten years ago. If I apply Magic Wand to a stain right away, it comes out in the wash. If time has passed and the stain has set, I thoroughly "plaster" it with stick from both sides of the fabric, let it sit for half an hour or so, and then "scrub" it out by hand. This has even worked on oil stains that had already been run through the dryer!!! It's so much fun: my friends think I have magical stain-removing powers (until I wrap one up as a gift). I buy several at a time because I keep them in my desk, purse, car, closets, laundry room, and gift-stash. And I don't just use them for stains; I use them for regular laundry as well (on collars, cuffs, whites, etc.) so everything looks super-clean. Helps clothes last a long time. In sum, this is the best laundry product I have ever found. Hope you love it as much as I do!

This used to be sold at the Joann fabric stores near me, which is where I first came upon it and gave it a try. Nothing else ever worked at getting stains out, and yes, I tried everything I could find including old-fashioned methods e.g. baking soda and the like. This blessed product must really be magic because all I have to do is wipe the stick on the stain, wash, and be amazed at how the stain no longer exists. It even works on chocolate stains. (Have never tried it on blueberry or blood, though.) I've found I can either wash the article right away or let it sit with the Wand product wiped on it. Doesn't matter; either method has been successful. I use it especially to get fabric or nylon dog collars clean, wiping the Wand on both sides, then washing. Sometimes I have to repeat, but eventually the dog collar becomes sparkling clean. Of course, it works with people grime, too. :)

Removed some stains, but not one stain. I don't know where the un-removable stain came from, so I can't say how common the Magic Wand will fail. Although it was in its package, residue covered the outside of the stick when I opened it.Also, the back of the package states that it contains ingredients known to the state of California to cause cancer. Make your own judgment about this warning (you can find more details about California's Proposition 65 by doing an internet search).In my opinion, trying another stain remover first might be the way to go.

The day I received this product, I used it on some stains that were on my son's shorts. I have no idea what caused the stains because they had been there for a long time. I'd tried other products to remove the stain, to no avail. So, I took out the stick, coated the spots, added a bit of water and rubbed. It didn't seem to be working, so I used an old toothbrush (as they recommend) and rubbed a bit more. I could still see the stain, so I decided to leave it and just put it in the wash. I was a bit skeptical, but, once it was out of the wash, the stain was not noticeable. The shorts were definitely wearable again.Subsequently, I have used this product on all kinds of set-in stains. It has done a great job removing them. Sometimes the stain isn't gone completely, but it is faded enough that it can't really be seen if you didn't know it was there.Also, the product isn't goopy since it is a solid stick and has no discernible fragrance.

I was skeptical reading the reviews for the Magic Wand, but it was affordable, and I was looking for SOMETHING as an alternative to Shout! and other non-effective stain removers, so I went for it. I put it to the test once I got it, and I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that it got a stain out of a work polo shirt that my dry cleaner couldn't get out, nor me after 2 or 3 failed attempts using other products. I order another one after that experience so I can have one at the office (I have a habit of slopping on my shirts while eating lunch at work).It's gotten stains out of shirts that I would have previously turned into rags or tossed in the garbage. I estimate that it's saved me at least $100 in having to buy new shirts. Words don't do the product justice. If you need a stain out, get one and give it a try. I bet it'll work for you.

Great stuff but no longer available in UK. There was a similar one by Cadie but this too is no longer available in UK.

Works REALLY well. There was a stubborn stain of unknown origin on the carpet in my teenager's bedroom. No stain removers nor the carpet cleaning machine were working and we were trying to put the house on the market to sell. Smeared Magic Wand into the stain, left it for 24 hours and then went over it again with the Hoover machine. 90% of the stain washed out with the first pass. AMAZING. One more treatment with the Magic Wand and another quick wash with the wet carpet cleaner and the stain was completely gone.

Excellent. This will become a great stocking stuffer too!
