Works great for Parrot AR 2.0 drone batteries
I purchased this to charge LiPo batteries for a Parrot AR 2.0 quadcopter. I had to get an adapter plate because the balance charge connectors for the stock battery are molded into the case. It charged the batteries rapidly and it can tell you the voltage of each cell in the pack. I had one issue. The AR 2.0 batteries have a mini-Tamiya plug on it. When I connected the battery to the mini-Tamiya plug on the octopus charging cable, the colors didn't match. Red was connected to black and black was connected to red. Sure enoughd plug into to black socket and black plug into the red socket. So two pluses for the charger. One, it detected the reverse polarity. Two, because it was banana plugs, it was easy to reverse the connections. The case says Temp Sensor and USB but there is no USB connector and no temperature sensor included. The manual doesn't mention either. There is a 3 pin connector in the side near where it says Temp Sensor and an opening with no connector near where it says USB. Lack of instructions for these are why I took off a star. This one does come with the battery PC monitor kit. The USB cable, connector, and software came in a separate bag. But there are no instructions included. The CD has one program on it, but no how to or instruction file. I am hesitant to run an unknown software on my computer so I have to create a virtual machine before I try it out. I'll update this review if I ever get to it.This does NOT come with a power supply. I had a 12 volt 6 amp power brick that I got here on Amazon for $8. It said it was for a LCD monitor and I use it for other electronics projects. It plugged right into the charger and worked fantastically.I purchased this here on Amazon from Battery Superstore and have no complaints about them.
