Hard for find, excellent cheese

Yes, we also received an over ripe batch of Saga. However, I called the store. I explained the problem, and a very nice gentleman apologized and explained what had happened. He sent out a another order of saga that was wonderful! I just ordered from this company for the third time. My husband and I love Saga cheese. So happy to have someone able to distribute it again. Please don’t judge this store from one bad batch. But it is ok if you don’t buy any Saga...more for us!

The cheese came in a box (outside) that was very hot! The inside was cool but I suspect it affected the flavor which was sour. We buy this cheese all the time but my husband refused to eat it again after two bites ... into the trash can it went!

This over ripe Saga Blue lives right on the edge of ammonia. I was surprised that the scent and flavor were so ammonia harsh. Won't be getting this particular Saga Blue again.

The cheese had some brown parts I know its blue cheese but it shouldnt have brown through the bottom section. I had to cut away a lot of it I loved Saga Blue but was unable to get it in the supermarket Now its back on the shelf, thank goodness

Total writeoff, ($50 for half a pound). Cheese has to be kept cool enroute, so the sender put an small ice pack in the container. Didn't work. Somewhere along the line in transit, the item sat in a warm environment. Ice turned to warm water. Result: cheese totally ruined, smelling to high heaven and probably dangerous to ingest. Tossed the whole thing. Lesson learned; DON'T PURCHASE CHEESE BY MAIL ORDER.
