The Art of Shaving Shaving Cream, Lemon, 5 Fl Oz

I have been using art of shaving products for years. They are now very very watered down and no scent at all. This is not just my opinion many of my friend feel the same way as I do. I guess we all have to change companies. Really sorry about this

My husband originally purchased this shaving cream from The Art of Shaving brick and mortar store in a set. He was running low on his cream, so I decided to purchase this from Amazon instead. It is much cheaper than buying it directly from one of their stores. My husband just loves this cream. It has a very fresh lemon scent that is not too overpowering. He does not like to shave every day, so he tends to get razor burn fairly easily and this cream really helps combat his razor burn. He has very sensitive skin and this product does not irritate his skin at all. He shaves his entire face a couple times a week and a container this size lasts him about a year. He refuses to go back to regular shaving cream after using this product. He loves this product and he highly recommends it.

What a shame..!! Since being purchased by another company the quaility of this product has gone down substantionally. The cream itself has been watered down and is no longer thick and rich. It takes more lotion to create the same coverage on the face so they have sacrificed quality for profit. The lemon smell of the product is so slight it is almost oderless AND the fragrance that is noticeable smells like a shoe polish or paint thinner.Not at all what it used to be...

I have been using this for MONTHS and it seems to be an endless supply. I'd be surprised if it doesn't last more than a year. Good, smooth, nick-free shaving every time, and it smells lemony fresh without being overpowering. I'll buy again in a year or two.UPDATE: I have been using this since April of 2017 - it's now July 2018. Shaving 2-3 times a week using, and i'm about half way through it. It lasts forever, laters great, it's super slick, but wipes clean. It smells nice, but doesn't linger. Some time next year, I will DEFINITELY buy it again.

I use this cream for wet shaving. I have several safety razors and a straight razor that I use in my rotation. Let me first say that I have used all the top wet shaving creams (TOBS, D.R. Harris etc.) And this cream far exceeds those top brands! Its paraben free which they are not. Yes it's a little pricey, but a 5 oz tub will last you a year when using a brush with a shaving mugg. A dime size dollop makes a mugg full of thick rich lather. More than enough to make two passes on my face and head, and still there's lather in the bowl!. The smell is incredible, like a subtle lemon scent reminiscent of fresh lemons and lemon custard. It delivers a very smooth cushoined shave without nicks or razor burn. The moisturizers in this cream leaves your face smooth and moisturized. I also paired this with their after shave lotion and cologne. D.R. Harris Arlington after shave goes great with it also!!

I already know The Art Of Shaving products and I like it. But my last buy was very disappointed. When I tried to use the shaving cream i realize that it had some kind of jelly inside, making shaving almost impossible. It is a expensive shaving cream for that.And the worst was when I contacted them, they told me that was nothing they can do.

I have been using comparably-priced shaving creams, mostly from Crabtree and Evelyn, for 15 or 20 years. I don't consider myself a connoisseur, but for me the Art of Shaving creams, including this one, deliver a noticeably better shaving experience. More comfortable, less irritation, fewer nicks, closer shave... what more can one ask for?Well, OK. Now that I know the shaving cream can make such a difference, I may start exploring alternatives to see just how good it can get. But so far, Art of Shaving products deliver the best shaving experience I have had.AOS markets the Lemon scent as the scent for a morning wake-up call. Not IMHO. For me, that would be their Ocean Kelp. Their Lemon is pretty subtle, but delivers a great shave.

1 - The container broke into 3 parts (see photo). The part that holds the shaving cream broke and separated from the container.2 - The label says it holds 5 oz. however, it look like more due to the outer shell - unethical marketing.---

Nice but not worth the money

The Art of shaving cream is smooth in shaving. it is also easy to handle with a shaving brush and provides a shaving good experience. Definitely worth the price.

Great great shaving cream ! The best I ever had !!!

I like this product as it is my favourite shaving cream, I use it along with Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil. First introduced to it in Las Vegas during a Royal Shave session. I ordered it from UK, carried to Canada by visiting friends as price for carriage in Canada is Severe.
