Pulsar by Seiko Holdings Corporation. A spectacular breakthrough Pulsar was born in an age of optimism. In the 1970's, everything seemed achievable through the rapidly growing technological expertise at the world's fingertips. Space flight had been converted from dream to reality, computer science was developing at break neck speed and electronics seemed to deliver new advances every day. Pulsar symbolized the age. It was new and it was bold, it was surprising and it was different. Pulsar, the world's first electronic digital watch, created a sensation when it was unveiled in New York in 1972 and it changed the world's perception of time. A tradition of difference When the brand was taken into the Seiko Corporation in 1980, it brought further surprises to the world; the first calculator watch in 1980 and the first all-quartz watch line in 1981 were among its industry-leading achievements. And throughout the '80's and 90's Pulsar continued to bring to market new products that were born to be different. The Avant-garde collection in 1980's set a new style in women's watches and Spoon in 1990's were unique designs which further cemented Pulsar's image as an ingenious and surprising watchmaker. Towards a modernist future Today, Pulsar remains loyal to its heritage. It was born to be different and it will remain so. Each Pulsar watch has the hint of the futurism and modernity that have always been its hallmark. Pulsar is a brand for the individual who appreciates real value and seeks quality with individuality and flair. See more

Very nice watch, excellent price
I have owned this watch for over a year. I wanted a nice looking, affordable watch that I could wear daily. This watch surpassed my expectations. It is built quite solidly, and is heavy compared to similar watches. The flight computer works smoothly. I got quite a few compliments on the watch.

The Right watch at the right price....
Being something of a avation geek, I was looking for a watch that would reflect this without breaking the bank (or my wrist). After hard consideration, I purchased the item above, and I was not disappointed. It is an execllent blend of durability, elegance and design. The Body, Band, and clasp are of soild construction, well fitting and smooth, so there is no skin-pinching or hair-pulling issue. The Clasp design should be studied by all watch manufacturers, as there is no "fingernail tab" to get caught on clothing (or anything else), just two buttons on either side, just push to release. On the face, the protecting lens is thick, hard to scratch, easy to polish, and crysal clear. All that is nice, but the deciding factor for me was the face itself. Not to busy, or covered in numbers, it gives sopistication without infomation overload, unlike similar watches from the same manufacturer. On the bezel, the marks are not too small; and it has great 'stick'-where you set it is where it will stay, period. The mechanisim is incredible, heard only if you press it to your ear in a quiet room. This thing will take a licking and look good ticking. My only issues are the second hand face (the small circle to the left), has no numbers, just tiny hash marks, and the sparse manual, which does not come close to showing all the functions possible on this timepiece. Otherwise to is an execllent buy, which looks (and acts) far more expensive than its price range. Good job, Pulsar!!!

AWESOME
bought this as a birthday present a couple of years ago. He uses it daily in the aircraft. He has gotten so many compliments on how sharp it looks. Really is useful. So much more convenient, he says, then having to pull out his full sized E6B everytime. Amazing watch for a REALLY great price (under $90).

Really nice watch
This is the first higher quality watch I have bought. I got tired of throwing away $40 to $50 on black plastic watches that barely last a year. This one is outstanding. It's very durable. There has yet to be a scratch on the face of it, and I wear this thing all the time, from yardwork to working on my car to working out, and nothing has scratched it yet. It's very accurate, and very attractive, I get a lot of comments on it.
