John Deere Steel Stake Wagon, Green

Very nice for the price

We bought this for our granddaughter as a birthday present. I wanted a wagon that she could enjoy riding in as well as one that would work well on our gravel road. This one fit the bill and I couldn't be happier.The larger knobby tires handle the gravel road just fine. They also handle our forrest paths perfectly.The Metal bed is strong, but not overly thick, so the weight is not to bad.The wood slat sides are nice. They are well sanded, no sharp edges and no chips or splinters to get in our child's hand or arms.The axles and wheel structures are sturdy metal and won't damage easily.The handle is extra long for pulling the cart. This is good for you to have a safe distance in front of the wagon as you pull it. Also it is sturdy enough that I can attach the handle to the back of my lawn tractor and gently pull the wagon with our granddaughter in it (but be responsible, don't speed around and make sharp turns). We actually plan to fill the wagon with straw in the fall and use it as a "hayrack" ride.I read some reviews where people were frustrated with how to put the wagon together. I experienced no problems at all. The instructions were well written, the pictures were drawn correctly and matched the pieces and the steps to construct it just right. I had no extra pieces at the end and my wife heard no yelling or screaming because of the stupid instructions or lack of instructions. Everything went together perfectly and easily.ONE CAUTION, if you don't read the instructions (which a lot of men don't) you need to keep this in mind. When screwing the wood sides onto the metal wagon you need to be careful to not over tighten the bolts so that you don't crack the wood. YES, I read that in the directions and it was a good reminder for me so that I didn't do just that.The product is good and the only question you are going to be left with is, do you buy the standard "Green" John Deere wagon or succumb to the whims of your granddaughter and buy the "pink" John Deere wagon. I'm a purest so we of course bought the green wagon. She didn't seem to mind.Enjoy!

This John Deere Wagon was not hard to put together but during putting together the steering mechanism together the screw was a little bit too short (mentioned in other reviews) so you may have a hard time getting the screw through the hole and holding the parts while trying to screw in the parts together. I built this wagon by myself but would recommend two people. This wagon is built very strong high quality materials and made to last a long time. By the way the box and the way the wagon was packed and was very well done five stars for that and five stars for quality and price. Thank you for reading my review. I hope that it helps you.D. Ward

This is a sturdy children's toy! I emphasize toy, because it is not designed or advertised as a tool around the yard. If you accept this, you will be happy with this product.It holds my two grandchildren nicely, is sturdy and very stable when walking. Yes the tires and paint have a strong, obnoxious odor. This wagon is made in Vietnam! I left it in the Pole Barn overnight, before assembling, and it was fine. Had to repaint the bottom of the tub, as it was showing some light rust. A bit on the expensive side, but nice.

Nice product, but seller was not helpful in replacing faulty part. I had to do a search and order part from a third party.

My family LOVES this wagon & the quality is EXCELLENT!It does take some time to put together, but definitely worth it!

Love how sturdy and well built the wagon is. I love the tires also that come with it cause they are heavy duty and make the wagon easily pulled.
