Men's Karhu Strong5 Fulcrum

An early review, about 30 miles in. I have a VERY high arch, pronation, and a lot of weight crashing the concrete (230 pounds...on a good day). I bought these shoes for support on concrete and they have worked great so far. No knee pain, no ankle pain, no foot pain. The first run felt odd, but after that point in time I either got used to the feel or the shoe melded to my foot. Either way, I am happy.My only complaint is that they are some of the least attractive shoes I've ever purchased. But...when you see a fat dude running down the road you probably don't think to yourself "hmmmm...he looks good, but what's with those SHOES???" The feel fine, and in my world feel>look.

Bought these for walking/running and they work perfectly, I'm a little overweight for my height (I'm a powerlifter) and have had ankle pain in the past but these have helped with that.

I first read the reviews about the size is smaller than stated. So, I went up half a size. Nope. You should go 1 full size up. Other than that, Karhu makes a decent running shoe. If Runner's World recommend them, why not. I bought another pair elsewhere and I am really happy with them so far.

Has provided good support. Comfortable upper. Definitely a good shoe for heavier runners.

Very nice, comfortable running shoe. The laces keep coming undone. But other than that they're great.

My toes hit the front of the shoe. I returned the shoes and had to pay postage of $14. There should have been a notice that these shoes run small.

Great sneakers. I am a heavier runner and after 20 miles so far I do not feel any foot pain on my 3 mile runs. Will buy again when these wear out.
