Foxwell borescope is a great tool!
The Foxwell 5.5 mm borescope is perfect for looking inside a wall in order to facilitate running a thermostat wire. There were obstructions that were obvious once the endoscope helped to spot them. It also stays connected to my mobile phone via Wi-Fi without any problems. I like the small diameter and length of the head since it minimizes the size of the hole in the wall required and facilitates turning in a small space. I'd prefer it used a Bluetooth connection so that it wasn't necessary to disconnect from my home network to use it. But, the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the dimmer for the LED does not function. Not a big problem since the light is the right level of brightness for what I'm doing. The other useless item is the 45 deg mirror. All that shows up on the camera is one big bright spot with dust. Maybe that is why the dimmer would have been useful.Update: I've changed my rating from 4-stars to 5-stars. Oddly, after I accidentally lightly bumped the borescope head against a wall, the dimmer started working! Or maybe it was a coincidence. At any rate it works perfectly now and allows me to see clearly through the 45 deg mirror. I also found using the hook on the end of the borescope was incredibly handy for grabbing and pulling a fishtape through a 3/8-inch hole in the wall. Very handy tool!

Don’t recommend for rifle bore inspection
Seems ok for some things, but I do not recommend it for inspecting a rifle bore. The LED is very cool and when it reflects off a clean bore the image turns out blue and out of focus. By adjusting the brightness of the LED you can catch glimpses of a decent picture, but it is blue and doesn’t stay in focus. The image attached is from inspecting an AR-15 that does not have a chrome lined barrel. Chrome lined rifles were worse.I updated my review from 3 stars to 4 stars. The merchant reached out to me following this review and offered to fully refund me and they also gave me a recommendation on a product that would be better suit my needs. I am keeping the camera to use for other purposes.

Cable is too flexible for the scope to act as a pickup tool beyond 2 feet
I use this LED endoscope to inspect my chimney before and after cleaning, checking heat runs and looking for lost jewelry and other things that fall behind cabinets and in engine compartments.Pro-Bright LED light-Long length - 33 feet-Various attachments - a hook, 90 degree angle viewer-Easy set up-Cheap-Holds a charge for a long time between uses (like months)Con-Not heavy enough to act as a pick up when extended more than 2-3 feet. The line flexes too much.-limited utility due to mediocre Video quality and narrow view angle.-Tried to use this last week to fish some speaker wire and it’s too flexible to show much. This endoscope is OK and it's been helpful for grabbing jewelry behind cabinets (sometimes) and for viewing tight spaces but it is limited by field of view and the cable being way too flexible.

Huge Bang for the buck!!!
We had a kink/restriction in a copper line set (HVAC system) the we couldn't find without cutting out custom plastered ceilings and crown molding and going on an Easter Egg Hunt. I purchased this to insert into the line set, find the restriction, mark the cable, pull it out and measure where it was =)Worked like a Champ!!At <$50 we could have used it once and thrown it away for the time and money saved.Putting a couple on every truck. The one I purchased was fantastic for the intended purpose. Connecting to the camera was not an issue, adjustable light output was perfect for our application. You probably wouldn't do heart surgery with it but you could easily borescope a motor, compressor, radiator, frames, etc....

Flexibility and brightness
Tested out product today in a power plant, to look at some cooling water pipes. Cable was flexible when wanted it to be rigid, and rigid when wanted it flexible lol, seems takes some training to use this. I suggest using a want or old extendable antenna to help keep straight while going into long pipes. No issue with camera.

Works as advertised
Definitely a purchase that I can see being useful for many needs in the future. Picture is great and the cable is rigid enough to snake a decent distance while still being maneuverable. One issue - It would not work with my Galaxy Note 9, so I had to connect to my iPad.

Great for RV Work
I purchased this for use with our RV. As most RV'ers can attest, space is at a premium in most RV's and it can be difficult to adequately view various components without disassembling something you'd rather not take apart. With this device I can "see" just about anywhere and anything in our RV. Need to check the furnace exhaust vent for blockage? Use this. Suspect a leak under this sink? Use this. Need to trace existing wiring so you can add a new electronic device? Use this. I think you get the picture (pun intended).

It's wifi only, use with app on phone, no app for pc.
Picture quality is surprisingly clear. Length of cord and thin size of camera made it appealing. Would prefer to use my laptopscreen (it's larger than a cell phone) while probing, but there is no app (that I am aware of) for pc.
