ZTE ZPad 10 Inch Tablet 1920 X 1200 Full HD Screen Dolby Audio

I have a ZTE cell phone and I'm about to get another one, so I decided to also go with ZTE when my son needed yet another tablet. I ordered this ZTE ZPAD for my 3-year-old son and he is beyond excited to have a new tablet :)! He loves it and so do I! This ZTE ZPAD is fast and has a crisp HD display. Originally, my son had a Samsung tablet and then he got an Amazon Fire tablet for Christmas that went dead and stopped working. I knew that I was making a good decision when choosing the ZTE tablet. I LOVE the 10-inch display. My son mostly watches videos and programs for kids, so the videos with YouTube, Disney, and the Nickelodeon app play very well. The sound on this tablet is amazing! It features Dolby premium audio sound where you can change the settings to how you want the tablet to sound when playing media. The tablet plays videos with movie theater sound quality!Thankfully, there is not a bunch of junk downloaded by default on the tablet by the manufacturer. I disabled a few apps because my son does not need them right now. This tablet comes with the Google Chrome web browser, and even though I am not a big Chrome fan, using Chrome on this tablet is fast. This tablet is very kid friendly. I don't even need to create a child profile, my son uses one profile to watch his videos and learning materials. If you are buying this tablet for a child, I recommend disabling any app that allows purchases to easily be made, like the Amazon app, which comes installed on the tablet. The tablet runs on the U.S. Cellular network, but I have Wi-Fi at home and many public places like Walmart, for example, offer free Wi-Fi access. Therefore, my son doesn't need to use the phone/data service feature right now.The battery on this tablet does not run out too soon, so you can use it unplugged for hours before even reaching 50% battery power or lower. There is no need for this tablet to be unlocked. It was super easy setting it up before officially using it. All I had to do was turn it on, and within a couple of minutes I was able to add my home Wi-Fi network and then use the tablet. Downloading apps on this tablet is pretty fast and all of the pre-installed apps, and apps that I added myself, seem to work really well! This tablet is MUCH BETTER than Samsung tablets and the Amazon Fire tablet. I don't recommend expensive electronics for small kids because they tend to be careless and will more than likely drop or lose tablets and phones. I am teaching my son to be careful with this new tablet, but even if it gets damaged, I'm glad to know that it will be affordable to replace it. No way in hell would I pay several hundred dollars for a tablet for a toddler! WTF?! This ZTE ZPAD tablet is affordable and I am sure it will bring my son continued joy for years to come. This tablet is an EXCELLENT value at this price point and a GREAT tablet to buy, IF you know what you're getting. At this price point the PROs far outweigh the CONs.PROs:-Screen resolution: This is one of the only (if not THE only) tablets you'll find at this price point that is full HD (1920x1080). The screen is gorgeous, and produces high brightness and rich color.-Sound: This tablet has a pair of Dolby-enabled speakers. They sound GREAT for a tablet.-Snappy performance: This tablet is very responsive and great with playing videos.-Connectivity: This tablet has full wireless (WiFi, 4G Cellular, and Bluetooth) connectivity. (Not sure if the 4G is usable with any modern networks, however.)-USB-C: This is one of the first devices that came out with USB-C. Syncing data from a computer is very fast.-SD Card Slot: Add up to 256GB of storage in the form of a Micro SD Card.-Not the lightest tablet on the block. It feels very solidly built.CONs:-Android 6- the last release of Android 6 was in 2017.-Only 2GB of RAM. Memory intensive applications may not work well on this tablet-Only 16GB of internal storage-The cameras are not comparable to cameras in a modern tablet. They are "acceptable" but not "excellent"-Not the lightest tablet on the block. It will add a bit more weight to your backpack than more modern tablets.-Annoying loud startup sequence. My guess is that these tablets were sold by US Cellular as part of a cellular data plan. The startup screen is a US Cellular splash screen that has an annoying sound. Some reviews have reported that when you remove the US Cellular SIM card, the splash screen stopped displaying. On my tablet that was not the case.

I use this as a regular tablet. There is slot for SIM card, but I think it is only for a specific service provider.But as a tablet, it is quite good. It is not premium, but for the price, it is a good value. I use WiFi and there is no problem. The screen is good quality. For the price, I have no complaint.I used a Samsung tablet for a few years. The camera was sharper and quicker in response, but I also paid a lot more compared to this.Good for anyone who does not want to pay too much for a tablet.

I purchased this tablet in June 2019 from the seller B&L Labs LLC. I can't speak for what you get from other sellers, but the tablet I received appeared to be factory sealed and SIM unlocked. The tablet is branded by US Cellular. However, straight out of the box, I inserted a T-Mobile data SIM and it works just fine.The screen is pretty sharp looking, but the colors are a little washed out and there doesn't seem to be any adjustment options available in settings. The performance is just OK, but the CPU in this model is at least 3 generations old now. Only having 2GB of RAM doesn't help. There is only 16GB of storage onboard which is incredibly small. However, you can add to it with a micro SD card. The front-facing stereo speakers are nice as is the inclusion of a modern USB-C port for charging.The biggest downside to this tablet is that it's running Android 6 Marshmallow. As far as I know, the device has never received a software update and most likely never will. Good luck locating a case specifically made for this device.
