WVR2 VR Glasses for Windows Gaming PCs - Black

I'm a VR enthusiast and have owned several high end, expensive headsets. This is obviously not high end and was a bit of a pain to setup. It isn't very comfortable and there is noticable blur due to the quality of the display. I gave it 5 stars because it is high resolution, surprisingly clear, responsive, comes with a controller and is dirt cheap. Seriously, this thing is almost free ($30 when I bought it). You can play sitting games in impressive 3D with responsive 3 axis tracking and do it for almost no money. I bought it on a whim and I'm glad I did.

This is the most disgusting joke of a PC headset that I've tried to work with yet. Don't be fooled by the price. I'm sending this back faster than Amazon can make their next dollar. 8 hrs of work and still not a single positive result. Is take it outside wi grrr h some lighter fluid and a match, but I want a refund. Don't waste your money; but more importantly your time on this trash.

awesome image better than my psvr. you have to go under advance to get direct mode otherwise it will be blury. also to make controller work make sure only guided and ps support are check in controller options in steam.

I bought one and the headset itself works fine although the hdmi/usb cable is way too short.My gripe is I cannot get ANY controller to work with this headset and steam vr.I have tried a xbox,generic ps4 style controller that came with it,and a actual steam controller. Every time it boots into vr I can look around and thats it.You can't select icons or get any buttons to respond.Nothing more rage inducing than a unresponsive controller.There is NO online support for this headset and there are alot of people online asking about how to make a controller work but so far I have found no real answers on how to pull it off.A headset with no working control is a paperweight I am afraid.More than likely why they are being sold so cheap.

Ok, so yeah, it's a trash HMD. BUT, If you are handy with a small screwdriver and know how to carefully disassemble this thing, you can get a tiny HIGH resolution secondary monitor for your computer. The display inside can be plugged directly into an HDMI source and with a bit of settings change, work as a second monitor with no drivers needed. Just know that you do need to pull out and reconnect the ir sensor, don't block it off, put it in something dark, like a little space 1 cm big or something, and the monitor will turn on.

I purchased this through another retailer for ~$10 and for that price, this headset delivers impressive results. You can't compare this unit to an HTC VIVE that costs 50x the price. This review tries to look at this unit objectively and from a cost-benefit perspective.Since it doesn't have any external tracking or cameras on the outside of the unit, this is only a 3dof VR experience, akin to what you would get with a GearVR, Google Cardboard, and the like. While hampered by a short cable (about 6'), this device is meant to be used while seated, so it isn't a huge deal breaker.The included controller is actually a very decent controller. The buttons all feel responsive, the included receiver worked right out of the box with the controller, and it's rechargeable with the included Mini-USB cable.The display itself is pretty decent, for the money. Screen-door effect is close to nonexistent to my eyes, but there is some substantial motion blur with quick movements. There is also a decent amount of chromatic aberration along the perimeter of the lenses, but it isn't distracting during normal use. The biggest drawback is that the refresh rate is only around 60-80Hz (I've read mixed reviews on the actual refresh rate). It hasn't made me sick yet, but if you are more sensitive to VR-induced motion sickness, this could be an issue for you. There is also no adjustment for IPD, so if your eyes are closer together or farther apart than the average person's, you might experience eye strain.In the end, don't buy this if you are looking for a premiere VR experience or if you need full-room positional tracking. If you're looking to try out VR, or you're into games that don't require positional tracking, this is a great first step into VR, especially if you can get it on a good sale like I did.Pros:- Fits over glasses easily and fairly comfortably- Headband is snug, and features velcro cable management for the single cable coming from the HMD.- Driver installation was painless requiring a single restart. Installed an update and then worked flawlessly with SteamVR.- Included controller is actually decent and didn't require any pairing with the included receiver.- At this point, I'm not noticing any drift.- Screen door effect is almost nonexistent, at least to my eyesCons:- Very short HDMI/USB cable. It's about 6' long and just barely reaches to my PC on floor up to my seated position. If your PC is located on your desk, this probably won't be an issue.- Only 3dof. This means no positional tracking or full-room VR.- Slightly laggy refresh rate. The panel exhibits some motion blur, so if you're planning on doing something where you're whipping your head around really fast, it could get a little disorienting.- No adjustable IPD

I use for Elite Dangerous and enjoy it. My desktop is under my desk, so it barely usable when setting down with very little slack. USB power is also tied to the end of the HDMI, so extending it would require extending both.(2) the visual range is 100 degrees.(3) Motion blur is significant. (4) the Bluetooth controller would not connect.(4) only 3 axis (head motion) No body motion (6 axis such as up/down, forward/back, left/right. The cords too short anyway.)Walmart had them for $30 which included a $20 Steam card (so $10), but have discontinued selling them.
