I have purchased two of these over two years ago, about 8 months apart. The first one functioned well, sounded good, no internal rattling or buzzing or distortion within a reasonable sound level. The second one had a lot more distortion in the sound than the first did. I didn't go through the hassle of trying to get a replacement, because with my luck I would get another defective one as a replacement. I did purchase mine directly from the manufactures website in the UK, so It wasn't an Amazon involved purchase. Good luck if you buy one.
