The day this beauty was supposed to arrive - which was WAY earlier than what Amazon had listed - I had to pursue the weekend (skinny jean wearing) mailman up the street because he forgot to check (or thoroughly do his job). Fortunately, he dug it out from the back of the truck and circled back up the street to recount for whatever mishaps he might've done. I was thrilled and relieved, nonetheless. After a good laugh and small talk with my neighbor (who witnessed the whole thing), I went inside to unwrap my new phone. I had already seen enough videos and read up on reviews to know what I was in for.• UnboxingI know I had purchased this Blade ZTE as new, so color me confused when I unbox it from a plain white box with no indication of what was supposed to be 'NEW'. OK...There was no manual included and it came with the type of charger that wasn't USB-ish, but more so on the primitive side; it's not what I expected since we live in the convenient lifestyle now, so I'll likely have to purchase a new charger. Nothing wrong with the charger itself! Also, the phone wasn't scratched/damaged, and it was exactly the model I ordered. Sweet!• Moment of TruthThis being my first ever purchased Android, I didn't know what to expect. I powered it on and was prompted to set everything up. A mere cakewalk.Touch performance on point. Screen quality so clear, you can see the minions hiding in the pores of my skin. Me and the battery were the best of friends, until I fed it one or two apps.One oddity happened that I can not explain that happened: the phone had its own flashlight that I know for sure turning on (to flex), but after it did some its business updating, it disappeared! Move over, Houdini.Like I already said, I knew what I was getting. The Dual Camera is lovely. Speed and quality, fantastic. Bluetooth has trouble staying on radar. Thumb security feature has me worried since we live in the day and age of people like Anonymous and etc.Overtime, I expect to brush up on my tech skills and master this phone. Don't expect me to undo the disappearing act anytime soon, though.Lastly, for its size, it's a blessing it's not so heavy, but genuinely light-VERY! Pray tell you have a case to protect its delicacy from hard impacts.If you can stick with one phone, before these companies butter you up with the others they got sliding out of their "One Way Streets", keep this phone!

A very good cell phone. Big size though not uncomfortable. Easy to operate. Accurate response to every app and process. Very affordable price. At home the four of us have a ZTE phone, but this model is just the first one. Very happy with the purchased product.

I have a Note 10+ and this phone reads fingerprints quicker and easier. It's in a much better location on the back. Has a nice big screen with a bigger aspect ratio. I liked it so much I bought 2, one for my daughter. Keep your mind on the fact that you're buying a $100 phone and you'll be delighted with it.

This ZTE Z982 Blade Z MAX, Metro PCS Unlocked, GSM Unlocked 4G LTE is the best phone I have ever had. I have had this phone for five years now and it's still working fine. I have the Android 7 version and although it's beginning to slow down a little bit, it is still very good. Unfortunately, I was told that ZTE Z MAX are no longer produced. A very good phone.

The battery life isn't the best but it's good enough for the price. I've had the phone about a month now and I love it.

I initially gave this transaction a higher review but 4 months into using the phone the GPS has stopped working and no reasoning why. There has been no damage to the phone or changes made to the settings to explain this. I have had techs check the settings to ensure that they were set as they should be. The settings were fine so unfortunately, they were unable to resolve it. I have no GPS using Google maps and no GPS on Waze. I have downloaded and tried every app/fix known for such issues. Therefore, I'm convinced this is a problem with the hardware. It just stopped working out of the blue. So less than 6 months later I am forced to purchase another phone. This time I'll go with new as it is obvious that this issue is most likely the reason for the "refurbishment".

What I don't like is the fact that it often locks and takes down my screen saver and won't allow me to use my phone for a brief period. Afterwards, it closes down and resets. The last ZTE I had did the same thing. I don't feel it necessary to use the finger print reader. Otherwise, I like the size of the phone and it's easy to read and use.

I have had mine since Dec. 2017 and it still is amazing. This one is a replacement for my roommates as she dropped it off the stairs and shattered hers. No downside to this phone except it is big. Buy a good "tough" case for it and it'll last for years. I'm a mechanic and dropped it 30+ times and still works as new. ZTE Blade Z Max Z982 model.
