Q: Why is 10 feet $31.99 but 50 feet is $56.99 shouldn't 10 feet only be around $12?

Hello, Thank you for your question. While you are correct in a proportional sense, unfortunately, the pandemic had an impact in the form factor (10 feet or 50 feet) of rolls produced. Rosco was one of the companies that had to close for periods of time, and in the times that they were open, they found it most efficient to produce the larger runs of 50 feet rolls. As a result, the savings were translated to the larger roll size. Another factor is a large percentage of costs goes towards ground or air logistics and shipping to end consumers. It is more economical on a per foot basis to ship 50 feet than 10 feet of rolls. We hope we were able to answer your question.

Q: I was thinking of using this on my black couch to keep my cats from jumping up on it. Do you guys have any experience using this for that purpose?

Not sure if it would hold up if you are sitting on it, it's just thick aluminium foil with a flat black color on it.

Q: Does air flow thru this? Want to block light from air vent.

No, air would not flow through this. It's like a very heavy aluminum foil.

Q: Does this foil have any odor or chemical coating? I'm thinking of using it to cover pots in a solar oven, where it would be near food. Thanks!

Yes it's an epoxy coated aluminum, I wouldn't use it on food because the epoxy could flake and none of it is food grade.
