Cheap price and excellent quality!
I purchased this pen around a month or so ago. The extra fine nib writes smoothly without any issue, and the ink is fairly easy and simple to refill. I've used both cartridges and a converter and have found no issues so far. As of now, I'm currently using Pilot's con-70 converter alongside their blue black ink. The pen body is made of plastic and is relatively comfortable to hold in my hands. The only thing I have a complaint with is that if I decide to mindlessly leave the pen upside down and capped when no longer in use, the ink tends to leak into the cap. However, this is easily solved by just remembering to place it upright so no biggie. Additionally, some of the ink gets stuck in the grip section, but maybe some maintenance on the pen could clean a bit of it off. I'm actually surprised with how durable the pen could be. I accidentally left it in one of my pockets, so it was thrown into the washing machine. When I found it again after, I was lucky to find that there was no damage to the pen (aside from a bit of water getting stuck) and no ink had leaked into the clothes. This is excellent for its cheap price and I would 100% be willing to buy this fountain pen again if I need a replacement! It's honestly one of my favorites to write with as a beginner.

Great for Beginners - Inexpensive, Writes well
This is such a great little pen (and fun to write with too!) for the amazingly low Amazon price of approximately $10. So much to like here: this particular pen has a <M> medium nib, which is my favorite for this pen. It can use and ink cartridge or a converter and as you can see, this one has a converter; it’s almost out of ink but from the writing sample you can see I have use bottled ink with the converter (Diamine Emerald). The barrel and cap have angled sides, preventing it from rolling away like a round barrel can; the cap snaps off and seals tightly; the clear barrel shows the ink color and volume. It is extremely lightweight acrylic, which means I can write with it for long periods of time and not have hand fatigue. It feels good in my small hand posted or unposted, although I like the balance better when it is posted. This reliable little pen is a great way to jump into fountain pens for beginners, especially children. This is the second one I’ve purchased for myself, just because it’s fun, inexpensive and writes so well. Highly recommend.

Love this little pen!
Do I love pocket pens? Absolutely. I have no idea why I waited this long to grab one of these. It’s a wonderful writer and the extra fine nib is a joy to write with! I love the clear design and I paired it with the con 70 instead of the terrible con 40 converter making it a breeze to fill. It’s a nice light weight pen and very comfortable to write with in the go! It’s small enough to fit in my purse and I’ve since purchased in a few different colors. This is now one of my top recommendations for a into fountain pen.

Extra Fine not for Everyone!
Great pen especially when combined with a con70 converter. I purchased the extra fine which I found too fine and scratchy for my daily writing but is superb for detailed sketching and fine linework. The octagonal grip is ergonomic and comfortable, and the pen feels balanced both uncapped and capped. The pen has a small plastic protrusion on the cap to prevent rolling - I wish it had a pocket clip, but for the price point I can't really complain.

Unbeatable Price and Performance
I'm a bit of a maniac when it comes to fountain pens; that is to say, I'm crazy about them. I have an extensive collection of vintage and modern pens, including various models made by Sheaffer, Esterbrook, Arnold, Parker, Conklin, Waterman, Noodlers, Monteverde, and many more. Curiosity prompted me to order the Pilot Kakuno demonstrator model because so many people I respect swear by them in terms of their quality and price point; I figured that if I didn't like it, I could just give it away and not be out much.Well, keep your mitts off my Kakuno! I unboxed mine this morning and filled a converter with Pilot Iroshizuku Ink (Kon-Peki), and I can't stop playing with it. The pen is incredibly comfortable in my hand, and writes more smoothly than some of my more expensive pens with fancy nibs, even on plain paper. I love watching the ink roll around in the clear barrel and flow down and through the nib, too. It makes writing fun! The truth is, I've already ordered a second Kakuno, this time with a fine nib so that I can compare the two. This is a great little fountain pen for a beginner, but it's a wonderful everyday pen for experienced writers, too. One helpful hint ... if you're going to opt to use an ink converter rather than pre-filled cartridges, choose the Pilot piston model, the CON-70. It holds more ink than the Pilot screw-type converter (CON-40), and I think it's easier to use and maintain as well. Above all else, have fun with your new Kakuno! You'll be glad you ordered it!

Inexpensive, NOT Cheap
I did a pretty good amount research I believe and decided to buy this as my entry into fountain pens. It was recommended to me by multiple "pen enthusiasts" (which still sounds weird to say to me, but I'm a mechanical keyboard fan so I'm not allowed to judge). This pen is only $9 on sale and uses essentially the same exact nib as some of Pilot's more expensive pens, they're completely interchangeable. It writes smooth and legible even on the below mid paper I have available (I'm not recommending using this on bad paper though. I was just too lazy to add a good notebook to cart with it). It's a cartridge pen, which means it's easy for a newcomer to get running, but for like $6 you can upgrade it with a Pilot converter like the CON 40 to take bottled ink. For $15 that's a nice Pilot fountain pen with converter, basically a plastic Metro with an extra $10-15 either to save or buy the good paper I didn't get.

Pretty pen!
It’s pretty good so far, it comes with an ink cartridge but I bought a con-70 because I’ve seen people say it’s better with this pen(and compatible). It’s pretty smooth and the ink flow is consistent. It dries fairly quick, I still recommend you be careful with smudging. The size is pretty compact and is great for on the go. Overall, pretty good fountain pen!
