This stuff works.
Second picture is with regular leave in conditioner and curl gel. First picture is with curl cream and jelly. Absolutely love this product. I have alot of frizz. And by midday my hair is a puffy nightmare at the bottom and flat at my scalp. I get all day hold and volume with no frizz. I use Marc Anthony curl CREAM first (not the lotion) then scruch the jelly into my hair and blow dry especially at the roots for bouncy curls. Usually it is "crunchy" and wet looking at first. But i scrunch it more once it is completely dry and it softens while still holding the curl. Never flakey. You do have to find that perfect amount for your hair too little is frizzy still and too much is crunchy and wet looking. I get compliments on my hair all the time now and can finally wear it long again.

Best jelly for wavy/curly hair!
THANK GOD I found this product. I was getting ready to spend a small fortune on 8 different Devacurl products, when I started searching on Amazon instead. This product is very fairly priced, shipped quickly, and 1 jar lasts a long time! I have thick islander hair which is so heavy sometimes that I fear my waves were being weighed down. I was right, because as soon as I started using Garnier Fructis Curl Jelly, I had deep pronounced waves out of nowhere! I wash my hair every other day, so I scrunch this jelly along the bottom half of my hair right out of the shower. It dries naturally and the waves are more emphasized as the day wears on. Plus it holds the entire 2 days, despite sleeping and workouts! It smells faintly like glue if you take a big sniff of the jar, but doesn't make your hair smell that way. I do like that there is no real scent, to compete with my perfume.

Best Gel to keep curls defined all day!
I've recently started doing the Curly Girl Method since the beginning of June and I've gotta say that this gel works wonders for me. After I get out of the shower and put this gel in my hair the curls stay like I want them to stay all day. People complain about how the gel leaves your hair crunchy. In my own opinion I think my hair looks better with the crunch and no one touches my hair so I don't care about someone touching my hair and feeling it crunchy. I sometimes "scrunch out the crunch" whenever I feel that it's needed for my hair. But it's your own choice and seeing if you and your hair look better with the crunch. Since the first ingredient on this product is water when I'm on my second day I just spray water into my hair and the water causes the gel to reactivate since the first ingredient is water. Then after spraying water into my hair I just grab a quarter size gel and put it on one side of the hair and then the other. ***If any of your hair products have the first ingredient to be "water" then if you add water to your hair they will reactivate***

Type 4a/4b black woman looking for a cheaper kinky curly custard alternative - this works.
Title says it all. My go to product is kinky curly custard for a wash and go hairstyle. I want a gel that provides strong control and curl definition without smelling awful, or feeling sticky or crunchy later. And flaking is a deal breaker.Like most black women I've tried a ton of products and been frustrated because most are not really meant for black women. I love kinky curly custard but it is really expensive and during the pandemic, while I work from home and people can only see me on zoom, I figured it was as good a time as any to do some experimenting and find a cheaper alternative. I tried this jelly and a garnier fructis sculpting cream gel. The cream gel basically felt like no product on my hair at all so that was out. THIS jelly on the other hand gave me almost the same effect as the kinky curly. The hold isn't quit as good and when you first put it on the smell is way stronger. But the smell goes away once dry. There is no feeling of stickiness, crunchiness or flakes with this jelly. Be advised if you have thick afro hair then just throw out the directions. I put a fairly health amount on sopping wet hair because there is absolutely no way "a small amount on damp hair" is going to make defined curls with my hair. But it works and I think I have my 2nd choice gel for wash and go hair.

Smells good, a little goes a long way, But not for me
I wanted so badly to love this product but it didn't work for me. I always read reviews and I had read one that very closely related to my hair type but I didn't get those results. It left my hair almost oily looking and no, I didn't use more than a dab. I am Irish and English with wavy/curly, fine hair. This weighed my hair down. Still on the hunt for a product I can use just a little of and have my hair full, bouncy, curly and smooth. I usually coat my hair in gel, blow dry, and put in a curl cream to soften the gel. Wish I could get the same look without sooo much product & time.

THE BEST THING FOR YOUR CURLS
This product I found about a year ago. Excellent for us whi are blessed with curls. It has slip, light sent, not heavy on the hair, the hair looks shiny and it holds the curls. A little goes a long way. The product was no longer being made for some time. Now it is back and all I can say is Reunited and it feels soo guuuudddddd. π

My New Go-To Hair Product!
Ooh, I love this jelly so much! I have one of the more high-maintenance hair types: fine, curly hair. And on top of it being fine, my hair is also comprised of two curl types: 2C and 3A. I'm constantly trying to pump up the volume in my roots, smooth frizz at my ends, while attempting to get the curl pattern consistent. In the past I've had to use several products to tackle these issues because no one product seemed to be able to enhance curls, tame frizz, and be lightweight enough not to weigh my roots down; I had poor luck checking all three boxes. Instead of using two or three products ("cocktailing"), I now have the joy of only needing one! The only (slight) con to this jelly is the smell. It's not terrible or potent, but it has a slightly chemical aroma to it. I only notice it when I'm first applying the jelly to my hair; it doesn't linger once my hair is dry. Some people with extra-sensitive noses may not like the scent, but it doesn't bother me. I highly recommend this jelly for the curlies out there, particularly if you have fine hair and need a lightweight product!
