I am really happy with this product!!!Homedics always delivers!This humidifier doesn't take up a ton of space, definitely humidifies the room-about 10x14.The changing colors are very cute. I can feel the difference when it is on.Easy to clean! I never use tap water/the Timer option is great!The brightness is perfect!Easy to function/great price for me!

Pros:* Small footprint, neat, tidy and inconspicuous.* We love that it’s compact, while putting out enough mist and holding enough water to do so all night long. That was the deciding factor and I’m still pleased with my purchase for that reason (despite the complaining below).* Easy to fill (transport the compact tank to a sink)* Well designed overall, extra oil pads, oil tray is a cool idea* Doesn’t need to be kept on a towel, as our previous humidifiers have.Cons:* The power indicator light is far too bright, and there’s no option to bypass it. C’mon! You’re smart enough to build a ‘cold steam’ humidifier, have a high quality oil pad tray system to avoid damaging the plastics, but you can’t figure out that many people like to sleep in the pitch dark? And sleep science has now proven that pitch dark is the best? You MUST include an option for it to run with ZERO lights.* Seems loud-ish—though to be fair—it’s a very pleasant white noise (one stop shop if you need a fan/noise machine to sleep)! But despite being a peace loving, mild mannered guy (questionable with the all caps above) my innate protective husband/dad instincts dislike not being able to hear and decipher random noises in the house at night. I didn’t realize how much my subconscious does this while I’m sleeping, but i seem to wake up more often from vaguely hearing something and needing to turn off the machine to confirm it’s not a sabre tooth tiger or fat Freddy Flintstone coming to steal the last smoked mammoth rib.* When it’s out of water, i would normally just turn it off in the morning. But it just sits there with the red “out of water” light on instead of powering off, and won’t allow you to turn it off (you have to unplug it). Maybe that could be good for reminding you to drain the base and air out the tank when not in use (because mold). But it’s still a bit unusual.

The Homedics Total Comfort Humidifier is a fantastic addition to my toddler's room. Its compact size fits perfectly without taking up too much space. Despite its size, it has great output, effectively humidifying the room. I've noticed that it helped my son recover quicker from colds. Homedics consistently makes good products, and this humidifier is no exception. Highly recommended!

I ordered this for my wife. She says it's clearing up her stuffy nose caused by the dry heat in our house. I use the filtered water from our refrigerator to fill the unit. I ordered a new replacement water filter when I ordered this humidifier.

It was shipped. I opened it and followed all the instructions. Once i plugged it in, it just showed a red light next to the power button. Based on reviews, this is the water indicator lift that turns on when it was low. I clearly filled the unit and tried to press the power button. Nothing happened. I pressed and held it. Nothing. So, I emptied it and waited half an hour and did it all over again. Still the same results. It’s not the outlet because I tested all the outlets in my house. The night light portion won’t even turn on either. Crappy product. Definitely faulty. Won’t be purchasing from here again. If i could give it zero stars, I would.
