Mortal Kombat Scorpion Sword

This completes my grandson's Scorpion Halloween Costume. I had to make him put it away, so that he would give us all a break before the holiday. He wears it in the back of his shirt, reaches over his head, whips it out, and charges around at invisible opponents. Nice and lightweight, colorful and safe. Packaging was good and delivery was fast.

My son was beside himself with joy when he received this. He's used it many times in combat with the ninjas roaming our suburban neighborhood. In spite of all that use, the sword is going strong. It hasn't bent or cracked. For what we bought it for (Halloween), I think we got our moneys worth. It's lasted through 2 months of play by a 9 year old crime fighter. I believe it has several more months of use ( barring any epic attacks by aliens). This isn't heirloom quality. It's a cheap toy, but it's a better cheap toy.

The handle is uncomfortable, there are no built-in wedges where a child can place his hands and hold this toy comfortably. If you zoom in, you can see little spikes sticking out from the handle. That's how it is. My kid loves it, but just a heads up- the handle is not very comfortable.

My son loves Mortal Kombat at was thrilled with this. It’s light and doesn’t hurt to much when you get hit.

Paint started to chip off the plastic almost immediately and handle bent and broke off. Not durable.

I am a 28 year old girl and this sword is awesome :) It's fun to play with, even though my pets look at me like a weirdo for doing so.

I'll let my 8 year old son share his thoughts:It's cool but, the picture looks better.The blade has printing on it to look fake.

The detail was very good and the quality was heavy duty. All one piece, so it will last longer in use. I highly recommend this for any costume or even for play.

Surprisingly fragile. A little duct tape did the job and my kid enjoyed it.

No real expectations for it. But yes very cheap, flimsy plastic. So you something more....not this.I give it 2 stars just cause it really isnt a good price for what they are selling.
