BEST Laptop I've Owned
I'm a HUGE Asus ROG fan. In my opinion they build some of the best equipment on the market. And this laptop is no exception. It's extremely fast and the graphics are outstanding. It's perfect with the upgrades by Computer Upgrade King. Would buy again.

Very Good Gamming Laptop
Asus makes great products and this laptop is a powerful gaming beast. the price was good and performance is very good. the only issue i could find was with the led back lighting coming through at the bottom of the display, its a common thing with back lighting in general and is only noticeable on very black screen only. another issue is with the Aura led lighting software ,when playing with the settings the laptop blue screened a couple times and settings would sometimes would revert to default settings on restart at random.the laptop is light thin and powerful when it comes to gaming and multimedia . I highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a gaming laptop in the $2000.00 price range.

Hardware is good but keyboard cuts out sometimes
I think this is a beautiful laptop that had great specs for the price. I'm overall happy with it. Loads quickly, runs programs well, stays pretty cool. The lights/colors are pretty and I love the screen. I admit that what drew me to this laptop was mostly the Aura effect underneath. It's lovely! The feel of the keys, trackpad, and body is smooth and pleasant. It is a fingerprint magnet on the lid but I don't see that often. The fan can be loud but isn't shrill so I don't mind. The weirdest Con for me is that one of the exhaust fans blows to the right of the laptop into my mouse hand. It gets pretty toasty so I use something slim to block it without getting in the way. The biggest Con for me is the software for the keyboard. The keyboard lights/colors will occasionally flicker on and off. Sometimes just completely off without light/color, which requires a restart (so far that's all I've found) to fix. This has occurred maybe 6-8 times so far in my few months of ownership. It's mostly just a visual issue. Unfortunately, there have been a few instances where it locks up the keyboard momentarily and it doesn't register inputs for about 2 seconds. It's gotten me killed once in a game so far. In fact, I'm writing this review right now without lighting/color because it reminded me to do so. I'd be willing to swap it out if it was a one-off issue but I've read Asus Aura software is glitchy, so I doubt it's just me. Hard to strongly recommend it with that issue but would still recommend it overall.

BEAST LAPTOP
Gaming is amazing, everything I throw at it doesn't even come close to the capabilities of the laptop. So far I have no cons.

Probably not worth the money
I'm a solid ten+ year gamer who uses laptops occasionally when work requires me to go mobile. The prior laptop I had to this was an MSI apache GE62 laptop that I purchased back in 2016. That laptop went the extra mile, surviving three solid years of heavy gaming when I couldn't (or finally lost) my desktop that was designed to play graphics heavy games. From the time I purchased this back in September 2019, I've been disappointed with this computer's similar lack of resilience despite it being 2x the sticker price of my laptop from 2016 (granted inflation has alot to do with that I concede). Not only did it struggle on every front to keep up with my older laptop to play anything related to an MMO, but it would often exceed 65C internally on simple programs such as web based pages that maybe had more graphics on them. If that was it, and it was just the graphics processor, you could say well you bought an RTX so you got what you paid for. My main complaint with this model has been the constant crashes that occurred from the moment I purchased it. Every single time I would upgrade or attempt to update windows 10, the computer would crash and the bios would wipe any memory of the C drive. After a couple reboots, it would start to pop up again and everything would kind of be ok. Well, after 11 months of trying to coax it to keep going (and backing up all my files as I feared the hard drive was also dying), it finally bit the big one and will no longer even pretend to load just staying in a hard loop. Granted, I'm sure its the super cheap SSD that they used to make your main C drive (buyer beware, always replace the SSD they put in their computers as they're always the super cheap crappy ones that will die), but what kills me has been the lack of response to my original request to simply send me a SSD preloaded with windows and drivers since it's been less then a year and the computer has already died multiple times. I actually withheld my urges to try and fix it myself this time just to see if their warranty was worth its salt. I'll unfortunately have to leave this review at 1 star till they rectify this problem. I will warn you regardless: despite it looking flashy and having decent specs, it does NOT get the job done, even for simple tasks that would otherwise not cause even a chromebook to bat an eye. Don't know if that's an ASUS problem (which it might be) or the cheap "upgrade" components you're getting in this laptop. Good thing you can't get your hands on this one anymore.

Decent machine, but terrible practicality
It’s a decent machine but I have to 1 Star it because it doesn’t do what I bought it to do, which is to be a mobile computer. If this machine isn’t hardwired to a router then it’ll be nothing but problems. The WiFi card and network controller consistently fail which requires at least 20 minutes of trouble shooting to get them back, which then again crash after 5 minutes of use. This completely negates any benefit of having a laptop. As someone who travels a lot to hotels that don’t have Ethernet ports this an extremely annoying issue to have, and the amount of time the manufacture says they need to ship this thing back to try to fix the issue is just as annoying as the problem itself, especially when they say they might not even be able to fix the problem. If you want a machine with specs but don’t want to spend money on a desktop, then I’d say this is a good machine. Just know anytime you take it out of your home it’s going to fight you every step of the way.

Nice machine, seems to be more than capable for the games I play but...
A good machine by asus. As far as the upgrades, I'll say they're adequit for now. A bit disappointed in the chinese garbage they used for the upgrades. Not even sure who the name brand is on the nvme and I didn't even know you could buy a hdd that big for $60. Anyway, Im happy enough may change out the parts myself later.
