Hello, Thank you for writing in. Simon's Insulin Cooling case is reusable up to 2 to 3 years if maintained properly. It is a 3 layered pouch in which the product gets activated once the middle pouch is wetted with normal or cold water and maintains the recommended temperature for storing "in use" insulin. The wetness remains for 2 to 3 days. Once the wetness of the middle pouch reduces you can wet it again and it gets activated for use. Thank you
