Fits like a glove, and stays put!
I have a Ridgid 6800 watt generator that I keep chained down in our back yard. I wanted a cover to protect the generator throughout the year. After much research, I decided on getting this cover. I'm really delighted I bought this cover. The cover fits my generator as if it was made for it. The material is nice and thick. It's made of canvas and has a PVC-like coating on the inside. The entire bottom edge is gathered into an elastic stretch design...Not sure what you call it, but the bottom is synched and hugs the bottom of the generator nicely. This is a really nice feature in periods of high winds.I've read a review or two that mentioned some sort of gas smell from the cover. I didn't notice this at all on mine however, It had no affect on my decision to buy this cover. I mean, who cares if the cover smells, I'm not keeping it in my Living Room, it's on a generator, outside! If it smells, see how it is after a couple rain showers if it bothers you that much.Overall, I'm really glad I bought this cover, and should I need to get another cover, I'll get the exact one again.Great buy, great product, and great price.

Good general purpose, universal cover.
It is pretty durable, it fits on my Harbor Freight Predator 8750 Generator. "8750 Peak/7000 Running Watts, 13 HP (420cc) Gas Generator" Since you cant get a cover specifically for this generator, I rolled the dice with this one. In my opinion, it paid off. I keep my generator inside a garage where I do some light wood working and other mechanical stuff. What I'm saying here is, that there is a lot of dust in my garage. This cover keeps my generator and ancillary cables clean. The cables fit nicely on top of the generator, underneath the cover.Cables:- Conntek YL520520S 20-Amp 125-volt L5-20P Generator Y-Adapter Male Plug to...- Conntek YL1430520S Generator Y Adapter 30 Amp 125/250 Volt 4 Prong Male...Good cover, I personally would not use it as an "outside all the time" cover without some type of roof over it. I have used this type of material before and it might get you a year, maybe two if your lucky, outdoors all the time in Pennsylvania but that's about it. For me, my generator stays inside the garage unless I'm using it so this cover is perfect for me.

No reason not to give this product five stars.
Before writing the review, I need to comment that my copy of this generator cover has a sort of gasoline like smell. Of course the smell wears off but it's "very" pronounced in the first few days and if using this cover in closed quarters, one rightfully needs to be aware of this single point. Our generator is stored in a closed garage situation but after a few days and a couple of ups and downs of the garage door, the intensity of the odor is notably waning. The odor is worth noting but not worth deducting a point. The generator being covered is a Lifan, LF8500iECA Platinum; 7500/8500 peak watts, California CARB certified. The dimensions of this wonder are; 30"L, 28"H, 28"D. The unit has a folding handle and wheel kit installed which are included in the posted measurements. There's a 22" space between the insides of the two wheels. In short, this generator cover easily and completely covers this style and size of generator. The material used for the cover is typical light grade boat cover canvas of the type, while constantly exposed to the weather elements, one would expect to last for two or three seasons of use. The generator cover opening has a tough elastic band sewn into the hemmed opening edge. The manufacture uses a simple, well thought out basic manufacturing design. A thought FWIW, a single hour at your local upholstery shop (Our local rate is $40.00/hr) is more than the price of this unit, shipped. So if one were to compare having a custom item manufactured at your local upholstery shop (two hour minimum plus materials), one quickly gets an idea of how good of a deal this shipped unit is.My opinion, this cover is made of quality material, has a very functional/adaptable design and is easy to install. This coupled to what I consider to be a comparatively excellent shipped price. So, for the price, I consider this generator cover to be a definite winner on all consumer shopping points.Hope the above helps.

Didn't make it through the winter.
It is one year since I purchased this cover. Our generator is in our backyard against the house and the fence on one side. Even with this partial shelter from wind, snow, etc. the cover completely split apart in various places. So it didn't even make it through one New Jersey winter. Not good enough for me. Will look for something heavier, thicker, and probably more costly.

Great Cover - But Mice Like Its Flavor
Great cover, does the job as commented on here... except after a couple of weeks, my field mice are eating it in 10 different places. I'm thinking the guy mixing the "Taupe" color accidently dropped his desert into the paint mix, but it could be something else... I'm not a mice/mouse psychologist.I'll be glad to make this a 5 star if I knew nobody else had this issue, and it was just a bad batch.

Generator Cover
We recently purchased a Portable Diesel Generator and needed a cover to protect it, even though we keep the generator inside. We like to keep things nice. There are a number of generator covers out there, most are light weight, and not that durable, and tend to begin falling apart after a few years. This cover is one tough cover, and is inexpensive for the quality your getting. It has elastic around the bottom hem which secures the cover in place very nicely. The color is pretty nice too. It is made of a very thick material that should hold up for a lifetime. One issue that we had with the cover, that you will have too, is that it has a strong unpleasant odor when you first open it. I assume that it has to do with the unique materials that it is made out of.We put the cover outside in the sun for about 4 days, and that did the trick. The odor is gone, and has not returned.Even after paying the freight costs for the cover, it was still reasonably priced, and of very high quality, you won't be disappointed.
