Great quick CCW Holster for Maxpedition
First of all, I must emphasize that this is a product that is meant to work with the Maxpedition bags and really not much else. Exception to this is that if your bag has velcro in it this will work in it as the entire back is velcro as well. So for the price I paid at the time, $10, it was a steal. My actual holster that I typically use for CCW was almost $90. As many Police and Military will tell you a good holster takes time to find and many have more than one type of holster before they find one that works for them.To the actual review. I use this with Maxpedition Kodiak Gearslinger in Khaki and it works great for its intended purpose. Concealing my pistol when I am not carrying it on my actual body. The product is a simple design and is ambidextrous. The part that holds the pistol in place is adjustable in size so it can accommodate numerous different pistols. It however does not hold it that securely so I did a little math and placed it at an angle in my bag so that if I did need to use it, swinging the bag around would not fling the pistol from the holder. It makes drawing it a little awkward because of the angle but with practice that wont matter. The only thing I don't really like with it, is that it places the pistol basically on its side right next to the bag. Its not a problem with my pistol because I have an internal safety, however people with lever safeties, there could be a potential that the safety could be hit off safe. I do not think this would be a problem as long as the bag is packed right, your not throwing it around, and not running an obstacle course with it, but it could happen. Another thing about this is that unless your sight is a low profile, you could get it snagged when drawing. Also if you are running aftermarket lasers or lights, they could work as long as they do not drop lower than the trigger guard as that is where the gun is held in place. Anything wider than the trigger guard toward the muzzle could snag the gun on draw.

A nice accessory for your BOB
This piece is pretty much useful only in Maxpedition packs, but is a good one to get. I put it in my Monsoon Bugout Bag, and found I could adjust not only the diameter of the loop that holds your pistol but the hook and loop back of it can be canted at any desired angle. When I bought the Monsoon bag, I could not imagine how I would carry a pistol in it with a degree of restraint, but the holster accessory is great. I can adjust it to fit my Walther PPS, or my larger SIG depending on how the loop is adjusted and how I cant it against the pack's hook and loop backing. It took a few minutes to figure out how to mount it, as it comes inside out and without any instructions. So if you buy it, try it every which way before you give up on it. It fits various Maxpedition bags, of which there is bound to be one to suit you. The packs will last forever. I have one of the original shoulder bags that has been used for years and it is in the same condition as when I bought it. Rugged stuff.

Simple, sturdy, does what it's supposed to do
I got a Maxpedition Fatboy to use for concealed carry and needed a holster to secure my subcompact G27 in place in the gun compartment. I was initially hesitant to get this holster because it lacked a retention strap. After receiving the FatBoy pack, seeing the size of the gun compartment, and seeing how the gun fit in the department, I decided that a retention strap wasn't needed. The way the gun fits in the limited space in the compartment, this holster will be more than sufficient to keep the gun in place, and an extra strap would likely just get in the way and do more harm than good. After positioning the empty G27 in the holster in the pouch, I threw it over my shoulder, shook it upside down, and generally tossed the pouch around a bit, and the gun stayed in the holster where it was supposed to be. Wearing the pack on my waist with the pouch on my leg, it was eaiser than I expected to draw the gun, and it was much easier than expected to holster it.I also considered a holster with an extra magazine holder, but after seeing the tight fit in the compartment, I decided against that. There are plenty of other pouches and places in the pack to carry extra magazines, and I think the limited space available in the gun compartment is needed to get your hand into and out of the pouch quickly. There's nothing fancy about the holster, but it works well with the Fatboy and is probably the best option for use with the Fatboy.

High Quality
With all Maxpedition products the nylon is thick, well stitched, and the Velcro is good too. The simple design can fit almost any pistol, and retain it with the level of grip you choose. The rigid nylon Maxpedition uses does not collapse when you pistol is upholstered, therefor re-holstering is easy.Do not settle for a lower quality holster.

Out-Freaking-Standing!
I got this to go in the concealed weapon pocket of my Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack, and as it turns out, it also works in my 5.11 vest and in a lot of other applications. The word "elegant" gets bandied about like a cheap bromide, but this product is elegant in the truest sense of the word: it has everything that it needs and nothing that it doesn't. It doesn't add appreciable bulk or thickness to the pistol in the bag, makes for a very fast and easy extraction, and like all things Maxpedition, looks like it will last forever. I wish everything worked this well.

Works well
I took the family to the zoo over the last weekend and needed a way to carry my g19 securely off body in my jumbo versipack. This worked perfectly. I didn't want to print and alarm family's and their kids or God forbid have a kid try and pull up my shirt or reach for my gun. With this i was able to ferl confident my firearm was secure from wandering eyes or hands while everybody was able to safely enjoy their trip to the zoo. I highly recommend this for sittuations such as that.
