Scunci Braided Upzing Double Combs, Black or Brown (1-Unit)

I have been using this style of hair accessory since the first incarnation (the one with beads and thin elastic). Every time I see it I grab it up because they go very fast!My hair is fine (yet abundant...should be an oxymoron but it's not) and most hair accessories slide right out after a few hours. Barettes, bobby pins, hair pins...you name it, I've tried it. My hair holds nothing and will not stay in anything. This device holds everything in place, all day, maybe a little too well sometimes!I started perming my hair because I was tired of the fineness that won't hold style. About a year and a half ago, I was too impatient to wait for the Iso Option 2 perm and got another perm from Sally's. It fried me to a crisp and I had to cut off all my beautiful hair. We went almost bald in the back, and about an inch on top, that's how bad it was. So it's grown out quite a bit now, but my hair grows slow so it still won't go up in a pony or anything like that. This thing is a lifesaver when it comes to keeping the front of my hair out of my face with the help of a normal comb to hold a baby twist in the back to keep it off my collar while I'm at work (Security job, military style bun required but not possible yet).I've been raving about them for years to my sister and she finally said she wants one. I went to two different Walmarts looking for one and they did not have them. Thank god I found them here on Amazon, because I bought another for me, too!If they ever stop making these I will ugly cry.

I've always struggled finding something to hold my hair up in a bun without much effort. This thing is great! If I'm going to be doing high activity, I'll put my hair in a pony tail with an elastic and then use this to make a bun. Just this alone will hold my hair all day though.I have medium thickness, but I have a lot of hair, and its naturally a little curly. Photo shown is usually when I'd opt to put it up.I gather my hair to a mid height pony and pull my hair through the center, but only far enough to create a little bun. Then I secure the clips on either side so its tight. Next, I take the hair that is down and split it into two sections, fishing each section through the center of the bun, crossing each other within the bun. (I use my index finger and thumb to reach through the bun to grab the hair). Once that's through, I take the ends from each side and wrap them to the top, securing the ends under the elastic. Then I go through the bun, tucking in loose hairs under the elastic until it feels secure and I like the look. To finish, I pull the hair around my face to create some volume. I often wont use hairspray, but if you have straight hair, you might benefit from texture spray before starting to add some grip.

Love these combs They hold hair out of your face beautifully in several ways The combs are not so thick they pull at your scalp but sturdy and durable I have used these for years and love this brand l prefer the plastic combs to the wire because the plastic better holds my hair, but I have used both products These are highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍My hair is thin, half way down my back and has a mind of its own and these beauties are the only thing that keep the hair off my face and look good doing so. I personally prefer the black to the brown but that’s strictly due to my hair color. Buy these and enjoy your bangs pulled back or all your hair pulled up.

I was looking forward to this comb since I have unruly hair and scrunchies pull my hair out. However this comb thingy is not the easiest to use. I certainly could not make any pretty hairstyles when I did get it in my hair. It did hold ok but my scalp paid the price. I would have to re-adjust half way through the day depending how I did and I'm not a incompetent person when it comes to doing my hair. I have a head full. Oh well, we will try again.

It works fine. However, it would be nice if they actually sold black ones.... I’ve purchased 2 and got brown both times. Upon reading reviews, it appears that they seem to only be sending out brown ones and do not give the purchaser a choice. They need to specify that this is the case or just list the thing as brown.

I have had similar combs like this before. Unfortunately, this will not hold my silky fine (but lots of it) hair. It just slips out after about an hour. Same ole problem, I need a ton of product in my hair or clips and combs just slide off, down, etc. I had high hope as it was suppose to be for fine hair.

I started buying these combs years ago and fell absolutely in LOVE. They are the most comfortable hair combs for my long hair. The elastic will wear out eventually only because I use them ALL THE TIME. I wish you could pick a color instead of "Brown OR Black". Once you get the hang of how to put in your hair they're simple. They do not hurt your head if worn for hours like most hair combs or clips. I use them thru out the day as well as in the swimming pool.

This is probably best for medium length hair, and hair with some wave/curl. It does not hold long hair nor Asian straight hair. I was disappointed as it was one of the few hair items that seemed to be able to hold longer hair up. It does seem well made compared to others I shopped for.
