Yes, the white is a little see through - I don't really care that much and don't own a slip. Just wore a pale bra with good coverage and pale colored Spanx panties (granny style). I don't think anyone really noticed. My dress came with some tissue paper layered in so I didn't have any problems with the burgundy getting on the white part. I'm about 5'6" and weigh about 148lb and I have a larger bust, but small back. Got this dress in a M and it fit me perfectly. For the price, I was not expecting amazing quality, but it was decent enough quality to stand up to a Halloween party with kids running around. The arm bands are pretty shoddy quality - and they kept slipping down along with losing threads. Not sure if I'll be able to wear the armbands again, ever. I was able to get the medallions secured on the straps without incident. Overall, I'm very pleased with this costume and I received many compliments!

I’m a size 10 and I’m glad I ordered the large! And I’d even like it a tad bit bigger so I didn’t have the pulling on my tummy and back (my boobs are not small but look great in the front, caused some pulling on the back) Overall I’m pretty pleased with this costume. As an elementary teacher I wanted something when my team decided to do a special activity for our students at the end of our Ancient Cultures unit. I didn’t want it sexy and I needed it to be somewhat authentic. I find this to be overall flattering, a nice length (I’m 5’6”), and decently made and priced. The white fabric is a little bit see-through but easily mitigated. The v-neck, while not at all authentic, they used a lot of fabric and wore tunics and often long sleeves, wasn’t risqué and looked nice.Oh - it was nice to have some accessories- the medallion pins for the shoulders are good, the armbands are too small (might fit my students), they fit up to my elbows. There’s also a Greek key belt if needed that I didn’t try.

I used this for a play in church. Everyone was telling me how beautiful was this dress. The dress run a bid small, I was not able to put the bands around my arms (They should make it more stretchy), but overall was nice for the price.

This item when opened is filthy, looks like this was worn and reshipped / resent.....

Our daughter bought this costume to use for an Ancient Egypt wax museum put on by our home-school co-op. It is well made (doesn’t look cheap like most costumes) and everyone raved about her costume.
