Could have been better!
I liked it but it could have been so much better! It was a little slow moving especially with the romance part of it. I felt it was then rushed at the end to get them together. I mean Daisy and Monters really didn't spend that much time together and I felt like due to that the ending didn't really fit. Ellie was just a total and complete brat for pretty much the whole book and it didn't make sense to me that everyone just kept bowing down to her and making sure everything was perfect for her. I wish someone had stood up to her and to the queen even just a little. I mean yeah I get it, they are royals and get what they want but still. I also didn't like the twist at the end with Seb and Ellie, again, it just didn't fit. Overall a little disappointed but still a fun read.

How Come I Didn't Know this Book Existed Before?!
How come I didn't know this book existed sooner?! I absolutely loved it! In fact, I have no idea where to start because I feel like I'm just going to be praising the whole book. Get comfortable. The writing style was so much fun and immediately made me feel like I was in Daisy, the main character's, head. Her unique sass and humor was evident from page one and never stopped through the rest of the book. As well, it was funny! More than once I would ask myself how she thought of this stuff because it was randomly relevant and hilarious. On top of that, Daisy's parents had quirky and distinct personalities as well! I didn't realize how I was longing for parents with personalities outside of the cookie-cutter ones I feel like I see in every YA romance novel until I read this book. Daisy's dad has similar humor to hers while her mom shares similar mannerisms and nervous tics. I loved getting to know them.As well, before many of the chapters, and in some of them, there are news stories thrown in that add more details to the situation and bring in more humor. They were wonderful and welcome additions to the story. And the romance! eek! It was a great enemies to lovers, slow-burning romance that had me aching to see them together. It's only about half-way through that we really start making progress on their relationship, but I found that I didn't mind. Something that I loved that Hawkins included in their romance was all the awareness to cheesy, cliche things happening to them. As a reader, I loved that the cliche, romantic things were happening to them, but I also loved that Daisy was aware it was all cliche. If I could sum up my experience, I would say I was consistently surprised, often overjoyed, and stupendously satisfied. Rachel Hawkins. You've done it again!

So much fun!
I LOVED EVERY FREAKING MINUTE OF THIS BOOK OMG. It was SO much fun, and I was laughing on every page! It reminded me of the Jessica Darling series (which I loved) with some Princess Diaries (a classic) thrown in. I’m both devastated I’m done reading it and SO AMAZINGLY HAPPY there will be a sequel! I may have to reread it multiple times before the next one comes out. There’s no question I’ll be rereading it, though! I absolutely must relive all those amazingly humorous lines! I think this has to be my favorite book I’ve read so far this year.A++++++++10,000 STARS!!!!

Predictable but enjoyable!
I'm a graduate student, so definitely not the young adult target audience of this book, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Perfect light, summer, beach reading to get in the mood for the royal wedding. A bit of a predictable plot line (definitely no major twists and some giant cliches), but still nice. Reminds me a lot of the book "The Royal We" by Heather Cocks. Actually, I enjoyed The Royal We better, but there's no reason to not read both, especially for fans of the royals.

Will appeal to fans of Scotland, romance/rom-com, plucky heroines, and royalty!
In an alt-history where Scotland is an independent country with its own royal family, keeping up with the antics of the young princes and princesses is more than their American soon-to-be-sister-in-law bargained for. Will appeal to fans of Scotland, romance/rom-com, plucky heroines, and royalty!

Looking for a CUTE royal romance? Get this book!
I really enjoyed this book, it was a book that had a romance, but the main romance was Daisy's (the sister of the bride) which I really thought was amazing. I went into this book thinking that the main character would be about the girl who )is getting married to the prince, but in actuality, it's the sister's turn and I loved it! Daisy is so relatable and doesn't change who she is even when she's in the presence of royalty. Highly recommend! (Sorry I suck at summaries)

Thoroughly enjoyed it. The format
Thoroughly enjoyed it. The format, articles, etc.. gave it a real feel. Daisy, the main character, was delightful and witty. I wish we'd had more of her father though, especially since she has his sense of humor. It's a quick but fun read. Can't wait to find out more about this family.

A Hilarious Summer Read!
Royals is the perfect summer read; especially with all of the hullabaloo with the recent Prince Harry and Meghan nuptials. A small town girl, Daisy, finds herself immersed into the world of a Royal Family when her sister is betrothed to a Prince. Daisy is really outspoken and snarky and is thrust into a completely foreign world. Along the way she learns a lot about herself and her family while navigating shenanigans with a few royal adjacent lads. I cannot wait for Royals 2!

Royals is the ULTIMATE TEEN READ - one that is not to be missed!
You know you've got a good book in your hands when it still manages to bring a smile to your face even though you finished reading it a few days ago. That book is Royals for me.It's been a looooong time since I've read a story cover to cover in one sitting and found myself truly reluctant to put it down, but Rachel Hawkins made it so easy for me to lose myself in her comedic, dramatic and romantic teen novel, one that follows Daisy Winters as she's thrust into the royal life after her older sister Eleanor gets engaged to Alex, the Prince of Scotland. It's when media attention turns to Daisy - and not in the good way - that she's brought to Scotland for the summer to be kept under the watchful eye of The Palace. What Daisy wasn't anticipating for was how different these royals were behind closed doors, most especially The Royal Wreckers - who consist of Prince Sebastian and his four friends, one of whom is our male lead, Miles - who end up causing her presence to be more problematic than was wanted. If Royals were a movie, it'd not only be the new The Princess Diaries, but it'd be up there with my fav British rom-com of all time: Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging. It was a joyous, light-hearted, and an amazingly fast-paced, fun and funny and a fluffy read, one with unforgettable characters you can easily relate to - characters who're real and vulnerable and they make their mistakes, but they're strong enough to never let those mistakes bring them down - a memorable romance and an unpredictably entertaining storyline. It is the ultimate teen read... and THAT is why I'm rating this book four stars.Honestly? I kept forgetting that this was a YA Contemporary, and the last time I read a book in that genre was back in 2017, so I truly feel like I would've loved this story more if I'd read it when I was a teenager, because teenage-me would've adored everything about this story. Teenage-me would've found no flaws whatsoever. But adult-me wanted more; more of a focus on the relationship between Daisy and Eleanor as siblings (as they have their problems), and more of a growth in the love interest between Miles and Daisy (since to me, there wasn't a lot of it before the ending). There's also the fact that I felt like this book ended way too abruptly for my taste, and had a few matters - mainly concerning the royal siblings - left unresolved. But (as I'll always state in reviews like these) those are just my own opinions and feelings towards this book, and something not everyone will agree with. So, putting those aside, I really enjoyed Royals and found it to be a story that both brought and kept a smile to my face, and has a few shocking moments here and there that kept me all the more hooked. The writing was light yet captivating, and the plot itself was unique and kept me consumed until the very end; I'd definitely recommend Royals to those looking for a quick and enjoyable YA royal read.

Charming, fun, fluffy contemporary
This was just a great charming, fluffy contemporary.I loved Daisy. I loved her parents. I loved that the book went in a different direction romantically than I expected when I picked it up. I loved that when an issue came up, it wasn't, like, dwelled upon so that the story took an angsty turn - it stayed light. I loved that I got smacked with a twist that I most definitely did not see coming. And on a superficial note: I love the new cover; I think the new printing is beautiful and I am obsessed. There were a couple of story points that I wish had been expanded upon; but overall, I had a great time reading this.Fun, witty, zero angst, and a nice romantic relationship that seemed to blossom naturally.

“So long as you remember that all that matters is the truth as you know it, and as the ones who love you know it.”A royal read that was perfectly balanced with drama and swoon. I need book two now!! I love Miles.

Absolutely loved this book!
This book was so adorable, it’s just given me all the warm fuzzies and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, although sad Daisy and Miles won’t be a main feature
