Not this year. Re-post of my review I submitted on the Asics site.
This review was moderated, AKA censored, on the Asics site.I have been waiting for several years now for the new models to arrive in stores since the 19s so I could see if Asics listened to their customer base and moved the format back the previous design philosophies, but no, again not this year. I walked into the store today, put my foot in this shoe with high hopes and immediately knew they hadn't learned nor listened to a thing their once loyal customers said. I have been wearing the Gel Nimbus for years but have not bought a new pair since the 19s which was the last straw. The stabilization / cushion balance is shot where this shoe now feels like concrete to me. The sizing where I once knew my exact size is now all askew and I go in needing to ask for 4 different sizes to determine what Nimbus will be my size this year? Asics, you've lost A LOT of loyal customers, get with the program and return to the tried and true older format shoes of 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s, 18s and at the very max, the 19s and scrap the 20s and 21s. Until then, count me out from dropping cash on your shoes, I’d rather have it in my wallet or drop it on another brand than with Asics for the foreseeable future.

Seriously?
In the earlier versions, I see a lot of reviews where people are complaining about the minute changes for the versions. So, when I read the reviews about how thing are changed in this version, I ignored them and it was a big mistake. This version is seriously bad. I am not sure where ASICS is going with this one. It is significantly changed and the structured comfort fit I like about the Nimbus line is completely gone. It feels hard and unsupportive like $20 sneakers from a big box store. I would not recommend buying this version at all.

Too narrow in the midfoot - 10(4E)
As with many other reviewers, I anxiously awaited the release of the Nimbus 21's. The recent versions have just become too narrow in the midfoot so I was hoping that the newest version would harken back to the glory days of the 17's where the shoe would fit virtually ANY foot shape, from heel to toe. What I found was a 4E shoe that seemed rather disjointed. The shoe reminded me of a size XL t-shirt that has a size Small neck. The midfoot is still too tight and doesn't allow for a graduation in width starting just forward of the heel. The 17's were excellent at this. In an effort to shave weight, I'm assuming, they narrowed the midfoot considerably. I have seen this across most lines of Asics, including the women's GT 2000 that my daughter wears and my wife's Kayanos. To add insult to injury, the heel cup on the 4E Nimbus 21's is too narrow and belongs on their standard or narrow width shoe. ASICS, please go break the Nimbus 17 era shoe plans out of the vault and start selling shoes to a wider variety of foot shapes again. Thank you.

This is not a gel nimbus, it’s a pair of Hokas for retirement community athletes.
As an owner of 16 gel nimbus pairs since the nimbus 15, I am increasingly disappointed yet again in the design and manufacturing of the 21. I feel like an old man in a pair of Hokas in these poorly designed shoes. The 15 was by far the best model they produced, why change it and why gut the design? The arch in my heel has two bumps pushing up and they do not do the nimbus name justice. Re-release the 15’s with reinforced toe fabric and the nimbus would be the perfect shoe. Why doesn’t ASICS listen to their customer base?

First impressions pretty good (Updated June 2020)
The Numbus 21's really aren't that bad. They fit perfectly but seem to be lacking in some cushion of the Nimbis 20's which I had previously. At first I didn't like these shoes due to the difference in padding on the bottom of the foot but they do feel more snug with the insole now. Like my feet have a better grip. After walking around and doing a little running I found I really like them a lot even with the sole. They're still pretty comfortable and they look pretty good. A little adjusting to the shoe and I'll be good to go. This is just a first impression and I will update later as I do have plantar fasciitis which will have a major impact on my feelings about the Nimbus 21'sJune 2020 Update: had them for a while now and the tread is just about gone. Never had foot problems. Wouod buy again

Amazing comfort for high arch
This is one of the most comfortable shoe I have ever had.I bought a size 9.5M and it fits true to size.I have an extremely high arched foot.Have enough room for my toes to wiggle and at the same time amazing support for the heal.it is cushioned for absorbing good amount of shock, also helps reducing any stress on ankle.Great delivery. Overall YAY for this product, and great prompt delivery by seller.

Disappointed
I ordered a size 9 XW (4E). I was shipped a size 9W (2E). I chose not to bother with the return/exchange hassles.

Not a patch on the 19
Bought these to replace the Nimbus 19 that I’ve put hundreds of happy miles into. This was immediately a different feel, it’s much firmer for what is supposed to be a cushioned trainer.I’ve now put close to 100 miles on these, including a 15 mile run at the weekend, and these are bit strange in that at times they’re fine but at others there’s just no feeling of shock absorption which makes them hard on the knees and feet. I’m also getting running under the ankle that I’ve never had in a Nimbus before. Ultimately I’m now waiting on a pair of the 22, as Asics have apparently rectified the hard ride of the 21. Next time I’ll make sure I read/watch some actual reviews before purchasing.Update: I’ve put nearly 20 miles into the Nimbus 22 now and it's a light and day difference to the 21. That lovely soft ride that I had with the 19 is back, and gone is the awful hard ride of the 21.I’d recommend to avoid these like the plague and either source a pair of the 19 or new 22 instead.

Super Laufschuh
Der Schuh kam Amazon like pünktlich bei mir an. Habe ihn heute gleich mal probegelaufen. Perfekt. Gemischte Strecke Teer/Waldweg.Zur Acics Größendiskusion:War etwas verunsichert welche Größe ich nehmen sollte. Habe in allen anderen Asics Laufschuhen 46 2/3, also 29,5 cm.

I have used ASICS for 20 years or so now. These are the latest and worth the extra £40 or so over other trainers because last week I went on my first proper run in 10 years! Struggled but I’m a big guy and shock absorption on them is great. No problem with my knees through 3 miles, just my legs didn’t want to work! Would buy again
