Good food, tastes fresh rice and great value for money

I have bought Salaam Basmati Rice in the 5KG pack many times, and overall, it’s a decent product, though it may not fully meet the expectations of those who are very particular about their rice.Pros:Affordable Price: The price for a 5KG bag is reasonable, especially for those who cook rice regularly and want a good quantity.Fluffy Texture: The rice does cook up nicely with a fluffy texture when done correctly. It doesn't clump, and the grains separate well if washed and cooked properly.Aromatic: This rice has a pleasant aroma, although not as strong as premium basmati brands. It still brings a nice fragrance to the kitchen while cooking.Cons:Grain Length: The grain length is a bit shorter than what you'd expect from higher-end basmati. Brilliant. It whips up a great basmati rice with the perfect amount of stickiness. It is about a medium grain length if you are interested in that.It takes around 15 or so minutes cooking time. Then I leave the lid on the saucepan to let it steam cook for a few more minutes. I always add Celtic salt to my rice because of the mineral content and taste. After I stir it becomes lovely and fluffy and has a mellow but nice basmati rice smell. I hope this helps.

Not the best basmati but this represents great value for a basic basmati taste rice.. used a rice cooker so the cook time is about 8-10 mins to get a good quality dish with nice texture and good grain length.
