Ice cold in texas heat for 3 days
I bought this cooler at the same time as an igloo cooler and what I found is that the Sportneer performed almost the same as the igloo for the first week, slightly better but not a ton. In week 2 however the Sportneer performance was significantly better. Week one test was 6 hours in the shade - both kept ice well, but the drain made the Sportneer easier to empty. Next test was to leave ice in AC overnight and both performed similar for 6-8 hours, after that the Sportneer continued to retain ice for up to 3 days.Week 2 - put both in the heat 90 degree plus and the Sportneer handles much better- retaining ice all day without issue. One thing to note I had both pre chilled and opening the cooler caused the Sportneer to jump from 40F to 60F when I opened it in the heat of the day with temperature going back down slowly.I was able to leave ice for 3 days in this cooler without issue and have ice cold drinks, leaving it out in direct sun on the back of the truck without issue. The drain works without you having to tilt which is nice. The cooler DOES have some Wright when full - roughly 50 lbs or so so it can be a little heavy to lift when full. The metal bottle opener worked without issue as did the pull latches (they are rubber)This cooler was more expensive than the Igloo I tested it against but the quality is superior as is the ability to keep drinks cold. This is now my go to cooler for anything more than 3-4 hours

Sturdy, well insulated and has a drain plug
We wanted to get something that would keep frozen foods frozen for a few days while on a motorcycle camping trip. This cooler seems to be as good as a Yeti (which is reputed to be 'the best') at 1/2 the price, so we got it.It is heavy, sturdy, has a tight fitting lid and, unlike the LifeTime cooler, has a drain for melted ice. It also has a built-in thermometer, which is a bonus. We have tested it in our garage where temps have been over 80 degrees during the day-time; it holds the same internal temperature over several days as what it was when we put ice in it. In other words, ambient temp is 80, say, and the empty cooler is about that. Then, we 1/2 fill it with ice and close the lid. The internal temperature will then drop to about 50 degrees (not freezing) and stay under 60 degrees for several days (which is when we open it to try a different scenario). So, we are confident that, if we pre-chill the cooler, then fill it with frozen foods, and top it all off with ice, the temperature will drop to mid-30s and stay there for a few days, which is what we want. Our trip is mid-July so will edit this review if our experience is significantly different than predicted.

Quality cooler
Sturdy and quality cooler. Looks great and built to last. It keeps ice about 5 days. Thermometer on mine doesn't work. Always says 50° so hoping they will send me a replacement Guage as I've read others had this problem as well. No other complaints and love it!

Built like a tank!!
This is an awesome cooler. I did tons and tons of research before I decided to get this one. This thing is built like a tank, very sold. With that being said, this thing can get heavy quick. The cooler alone is heavy, then you add ice packs, then food & drinks and now your carrying a small elephant. With that said, weight doesn’t concern me, my concerns are all about cooler specs and coolness retention. I do not use ice in this cooler, I properly pack my food and strategically place my ice packs at 4:30 am, roughly after my 20 min ride to work the temperature gauge goes from 65 degrees down to 39-40…As I said before, this cooler is a tad heavy, however that would not sway me from buying another one if I had to.The 2 months of reading and research I found multiple defects in that (other cooler that drains your bank account) we all know the one, right? Well anyway, the insulation value on Sportneer is much higher not to mention the density test on the (other cooler) was far less than Sportneer.I also did my own upgrade to the lid seal that is spot on and creates a much tighter seal. 15/16" x 1/4” rubber D sealer on Amazon and lined the outer edges of the original seal, it will require a tad bit of pressure to close and clamp the lid but it’s worth it.I can understand why this bear resistant. This cooler is solid as a rock. I’ve had no issues yet from throwing it around..in the truck…boat…this cooler has seen it’s fair share of abuse and has not let me down.As for me and my needs of this cooler this thing is just hard to beat. And you can’t beat the price.

It's fine, but I don't own a Yeti, so can't compare.
I guess I had high expectations for a cooler of the Yeti-style. I didn't think it did a super job of keeping ice for more than 3 days, and the temperature gauge doesn't work at all, just as other reviewers said. I like the size, and it's very cute. I like its overall design a lot. I have a small camper with a fridge, so this was just for keeping extra produce and beverages cold. Sometimes the camp fridge will freeze lettuce, etc, so I kept that in here and it worked fine for that.

Probably the Best Ice Chest I have ever used
I LIKE IT ! This white ice chest is built to last and to actually keep things cold for long time, and reminder me to check the temperature. After having our fridge go out and using a couple of ice chests we had until a part came in to fix it, I realized that regular ice chests are not up to the job. These two well known brand ice chests couldn't keep ice from melting even in a day and this was with keeping them in the house! It looks awesome! It will be great for parties - to keep drinks cold outdoors, for camping and sailing as well. Very high quality.

Best cooler ever.
I bought this based on the Amazon reviews and they were good but just reinforcing what a great cooler it is. It’s small enough to keep in the vehicle but large enough to hold enough provisions for 2 for a day of traveling or boating.Holds ice real wellSolid built, live the built in bottle opener and thermometer, carry handle.Better than my overly priced cooler.
