Does the job really, really well!
Update on 2024-01-18 after 3.25 years of ownership:So wow, I'm super impressed with the durability of this storm shell. Maybe I was a bit hard on it for the initial cost back in 2020 because it has proven itself worthy since then. Through 3 winters and deep in to the 4th with lots of snow and 20F temps, 3 summers with highs over 110F, lots of wind storms, rain storms, enough weather to flood the nearby stream out, and everything else that goes on in other 3 years of outside exposure, the shell has held up perfectly. There's no sign of rust, no sign of fading, and absolutely no sign of any kind of incursion in to the shell from the weather. The TV I mounted in there back in October 2020 still works perfectly, and it would not have survived a month without the shell.Ignore what I said about the price and buy this, you will get your moneys worth out of it by how long it'll last you and how well it'll protect the equipment you put inside.Review on 2020-11-11 after 4 weeks of ownership:I picked up this shell to install a TV outside by my hot tub. I paired it with a 43" Westinghouse Roku 4K, which fits perfectly. 44" might be a squeeze. There is also quite a bit of room behind the TV for some other items such as remotes and other devices like an external Roku, Fire stick, Chromecast, etc. etc.Installation was easy. If you have a solid wall or fence post you'll have no problem, it uses 3 vertically aligned bolts so it can go anywhere you have a single post or stud, no need to worry about width/spacing. Since I wanted to install this against a fence/wall with diagonal slats I first screwed a 2x4 to the slats that reaches from the floor to the top of the fence to carry the load, and then mounted the shell's TV mount on to that. It's not going anywhere even with people pulling on the TV to move it around.I caught it on sale for $239, but I've seen it as high as $349. I would not pay $349 for this shell, $239 is a stretch because at the end of the day, it's just a plastic shell with an integrated TV mount where the mount itself would go for maybe $50. That's why I only rated it 3/5 on value. We've had a few big rain storms since it was installed (there is one right now, which reminded me to write this review) and so far so good, no water intrusion in to the shell. There is a hole in the back, at the bottom and angled facing down which plugs up with a rubber grommet for the cable, so no water gets in there either.I went with the shell vs. getting a weatherproof outdoor TV for two reasons. One, if the TV dies or just gets old and outdated it can be replaced with something better, the shell still works and I can use any TV available. Two, it does a good job of hiding the TV which helps deter potential thieves. There is one big downside though to buying this vs. a weatherproof TV though, and that is you can't use the TV in the rain, the shell only protects when it's closed. I would like to see an option of buying a front cover that is clear/see-through to allow that.Despite the 3/5 for value I still rate this overall 5/5. It sure beats moving a TV outside and back in every time you want to watch a movie in the hot tub.

Great addition for your outdoor living space!
This is a great product! Easy to install, if you are handy. Hardest part is locating the studs on the interior wall and accurately transferring the measurements to the exterior wall. I mounted this over vinyl siding. Worked great! The shell secures with four small screws in the corners while the articulating mount secures with four lag bolts through the middle of the shell (slightly off-center but it worked for my application; there is an adapter plate available if you need to center the shell left or right depending on your stud locations). The kit is thoughtful in that it includes short and long lag bolts for the articulating mount for mounting over plywood or sheetrock (short bolts) or over siding (long bolts). This kit fell short only in that the four screws that hold the shell in the corners were only one size and were not long enough in my opinion. They just barely bit into the plywood and so I bought my own longer screws for the corners. Other than that, everything else is great! The TV pictured is a 43" Hisense Roku TV which fits perfectly.

Great product!!
We have been lovingggg the addition of our tv on the deck. We installed this protective cover about 3 months ago and there are no complaints. Even with heavy rain storms, high winds, bright sun, the tv has been protected through it all. My husband installed it and it was a little annoying. I think mostly because of our house. We couldn’t find studs that would line up right (again, the houses fault lol). So it turned into a little bit of a project. But we got it up and it’s sturdy. No issues at all. Definitely recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Excellent product for the price. Only had it a few weeks but has already held up to a few heavy downpours. Was concerned with the latch system and how long it’d take to open and close….but it’s SUPER easy. Maybe takes 10 seconds if that to unlatch all 4, and then it hangs from the hooks below with the lip that also aligns along the top when putting back on. Even my young kids can handle it easily. I wired my electrical box to the inside of the box, so all of my electrical is 100% concealed within the box which I’m hoping will provide even more protection from the weather. Pivot mount also works very nicely to for swivel TV around. I mounted a 43” Samsung TV in mine and it fits absolutely perfectly with just enough room to leave remote on bottom ledge. Highly recommend.

Works as intended
Mounted a TCL 43" Roku television on our patio, under a gazebo. Not exposed to direct weather. Mounted to brick wall using alternative Tapcon brand fasteners. Fasteners provided might have worked, personal preference to switch. After 60 days, have had no issues other than cobwebs inside. Easy to open and close. Will be interesting to see how the television fares long-term in mid-west weather. Price was higher than what was expected given the product is two plastic trays and a television swing arm.

perfect!
This is awesome and very sturdy! I have gotten several compliments on this, especially from people that have the canvas covers. My TV underneath it still looks brand new!

Cheaper Option Than Outdoor TV
For a covered exterior area, this cover makes an outdoor tv unnecessary saving thousands of dollars. I used a piece of painted plywood as a backer to prevent most overspray. No weather strip is installed on the mating surfaces, but I have had no issues in over a month with heavy rainfall and high humidity. I do plan to remove tv during winter months.Pros: lLightweight, overlapping top edges, cost.Cons: While adequate durability, material could be thicker. TV mount came assembled incorrectly. TV mount is for newer, lightweight TVs and could be more sturdy. For Apple TV and Amp (interior use), I used a Qilipsu box mounted under TV. Also, I went with a TBest knockoff pelican case for my remotes.
