Tandy Leather Perma Lok Needle 1193-01

Once you have learned how narrow to trim the leather lacing, and you've figured out that you need to trim it a couple inches to ease the initial pull...it works slick as [enter your favorite cliché]. I was using suede lacing on my saddle leather purse with holes just big enough to allow two passes of the lacing in the same hole. It was a tight fit, so I needed to use muscle to pull the length through a second time in each hole. If you trim back a couple inches, it allows you to get a good enough start to get a grip for the big pull without pulling the needle off the lace every time. Used pliers on the needle a couple times, so will replace them for sure! Love these needles!!

Well made, functions just as I needed it to. I picked this tool up not for leather/lace working but for paracord working. I needed to thread 1.12mm 100lb test line into my paracord weave. This tool got that job done with no fuss. Just need to warm up the working end a little with an open flame and roll it, and screw the fid onto the cordage. Held very well, never let me down.

Worked great for the leather wallet kit. The needle that came with it to sew the lace was junk.

Small enough to work with micro cord (1.18mm) -for use with making Paracord bracelets as well as with leather lacing.Good quality, for the price would like to get at least 2 in a pack but it is what it is. I've always had good luck with Tandy Leather Factory products, and will continue to use this brand.

great products but very small, made the mistake in buying this size the first time but definitely is a good product makes lacing so much easier.

This needle is a must have for any leather worker. I've had issues with the lacing coming loose from the traditional needles, but not with this one. Just cut the end of the lace to a point and screw the needle on, and your worries are behind you. I can't recommend this needle enough.

Worked great for a day. Laced a whole holster with it, then all the sudden it stopped working. For whatever reason, the needle won’t bite into the lace anymore when i attempt to thread it in. Nothing is blocking it, and I’m using the same exact lace. Just stopped working...
