Update - less Mixed results. . Happy camper!
An nice pair of wireless speakers. But now that I've taken delivery of them, I have to admit they aren't exactly what I hoped they would be, so I'm a bit disappointed; though in truth, I haven't decided if I am disappointed enough to return them.First let's talk about the good:* Physically smaller than the photos on Amazon.com would indicate. They don't take up much desk or table space. Don't weigh very much, easy to lift.* Easy to pair with my Droid X2* No power brick, just a removable cord that plugs into the usual household wall outlet. I'd prefer a non removable cord because it's one less thing to lose.* 3.5mm input socket so that you can plug in non bluetooth devices into the speakers.* Sounds pretty good, not great, mind you, but I think they sound pretty good for a wireless speaker system that costs less than $40.00. Mid range tones sound pretty good, the higher tones seem acceptable, but like many cheaper systems the bass tones sound shortened and a tad 'hollow' though not so bad I couldn't listen to them. Good enough I think for causal, noncritical music listening and watching video (more on that in a bit), but not for those who really want/need crisp, clear sound across the entire sound spectrumNow, lets discuss the things I don't like that much.* It needs a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wouldn't it be great if you could connect this to your favorite music source and then plug a standard mini-headphone into it so that any set of headphones are effectively wireless?* The input socket is on the Center FRONT of the cabinet. An ugly and somewhat inconvenient location. The front is OK just not center! Though the side or back would be better for auxiliary input.* The removable power cord fits a bit loosely. I'm not a fan of removable power cords, especially when there is no place within the device to store the cord when moving it. It seems well designed for losing.* But my biggest disappointment is that it is really better for music than it is for video. The sound and action of the actor's mouths are just a bit 'off'. It isn't WAY off though, just a bit off. The sound and the actor's lips stop at roughly the same time, but the lip movement is never quite in synch with the words. It isn't so bad that it is annoying, but it is bad enough that it is distracting. The problem may not lie with this particular set of speakers, I've done some research (after the fact, of course!) and this complaint has been raised about other bluetooth listening devices as well. My suspicions are that the problem lies with Bluetooth technology and isn't something unique to these speakers. But either way, I was looking forward to a wireless remote video sound set up, but It looks like I'm going to have to continue to rely on cables. I think Amazon and Creative should change their descriptions to clarify that while these are fine for music, they really aren't ideal for watching video. I do listen to music, and this speaker system IS convenient, I might keep them, but my enthusiasm is reduced. To sum up, if your primary use will be for listening to non critical music or radio, I think you'll be happy, for video, not so much.2/16/2012 - UpdateI need to take back my comments regarding this device's suitablility for video. When I took delivery I tested the video on my Droid X2 There was/is a lag as described above whem my droid was playing a video from Netflix. However, I just took possession of a new i7 based HP Omni quad 220 machine, and the lag, if still there, is not noticeable. I guess a better multitasking platform made a big difference.I am now quite happy. Happy enough to raise the number of stars in my rating from 3 to 4. Which in my mind means it went from, "It's OK, I don't feel cheated" to the better, "It's more than OK, it offers more value than its price would indicate".

Great value at current low price!
This has been reviewed pretty well already, so I'll just add a few comments based on my experience. First, at the current 20 dollar price, this is a good value. The speaker is well made and looks nice. It is AC powered, so less portable in that you need to be near an outlet, but also you don't need to constantly be worrying about recharging it, so depends on your needs and preferences. It is very light and easy to carry and move around as needed. It's not the best speaker I've heard by any means, but it has decent volume and the sound quality is "boom box" category which is fine and exactly what was intended. For 20 bucks it's great. Plenty of bass. Decent overall response. Definition not as good as finer speakers, but you would not expect that in this price range. I enjoy it well enough. I bought one as a gift for a younger person and it is very well suited for pop music listening and typical teen music. That said, I also found it enjoyable to listen to, myself, and at the current price have purchased a few extra units for gifts and will probably keep one for personal use.Bluetooth worked fine and it paired easily with my phone and other devices. Sound quality via Bluetooth is fine, but you can get noticeably better audio quality using an audio cable and the built in aux-in jack (which is located on the front, a strange choice, yes, easy to access, but cable very visible, I would prefer it on the back myself). (Bluetooth compresses the signal with some loss of quality on all such speakers, though not very noticeably sometimes.) You'll also get more volume with the cable (3.5mm) connection. Also, when using the aux-in input the volume on the speaker end is fixed and you control the volume using your device (laptop, phone, mp3 player, whatever). In my opinion this is the right and best way to engineer this. There was no distortion and it worked very well. (It will store up to 8 BT devices in memory.)So, good Bluetooth speaker, better with audio cable, overall very decent and a great deal at the current low price for the black model. At this price you can afford to have one or two of these around for convenient use as needed. At the current low price, I don't think anyone will be disappointed in this speaker.

J'aime, mais.....
J'aurais aimé qu'il soit mentionné qu'il n'est pas rechargeable et qu'il doive être branché à une prise pour fonctionner. La description laissait croire qu'il fonctionnait sans fil. Le son est cependant bon.

Creative Bluetooth D80
Works great indoors, not enough ummmph for outside unless its for low volume. Doesn't seem to auto connect but minor in the scheme of things. Use it mostly for enhancing Netflix on the iPad and listening to music in the bath and it works perfect for that.
