OTTERBOX DEFENDER SERIES Case for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - Retail Packaging - Glacier

So far 2months in.. it is doing well and holding up.. I feel SOO much better having it on there.. seems much more solid and durable.Plus the shape of the Galaxy mini w/out a case is VERY small, sleek and slick! At one point I threw it out of my hand by picking it up!But no more! ;-) I have to agree w/ others in that you do have to push/press down harder on the screen to get it to react.. Likewise I do most of my texting and emailing using the voice recog feature which works pretty well. It only seems to be an issue when I have to push the 'back key'. I have to say that I am NOT able to hear the phone ring/beep/vibrate as well... And often miss calls/txts even when it is in my pocket. I think it is more of a Galaxy mini thing? b/c my husband has the less sturdy OtterBox Commuter cover and he can't hear his phone either. My daughter has the Trident (sp?) It covers the phone pretty well..kind of a combo of the OtterBox Defender and Commuter Series. It does pretty well and was 1/2 the cost.

I had a defender case by Otterbox but this is so much more sturdy. The hard case snaps into place and even has a built in screen protector. I have only had it less than a week but I can see that its going to provide the ultimate protection for my phone. ...fingers crossed!

Perfect colors. Easy to put on. Easy to put in clip and take out. Quality case and worth the money. Reason for 4 stars is because the screen protector doesnt sit against the screen and it makes it very hard to type. Sometimes it wont register my touch for up to a minute. The other issue is the lip on the sides is so close to the screen that its hard to hit any buttons that are on the sides...i dont have big fingers at all either lol i ll deal with it though. The defender case for the regular sized s4 seems much better in those two areas though - i bought this after expierencing it on my fathers reg s4. Though, the reg s4 is nearly impossible to pop out of the clip one handed...we both had to take it off our belts and use two hands to pry it out. This one easily pops out with one hand while on my belt.

If you're like me, when you're bored you tend to throw your phone in the air and try to catch if. If you're like me, you don't catch your phone often and it hits the floor. If you're like me, you put your phone on your lap when you drive, and when you forget and get out of the car, it lands on the concrete. If you're like me, you forget you have headphones plugged into the phone that's in your jacket's pocket, and when you take your jacket off it gets flung several feet through an open window.If you're like me, buy this OtterBox. It's an expensive case, yes, but I still had a phone when many of my friends who thought cases were too bulky had to later spend hundreds of dollars in screen repairs when they decided to not be like me.

Did NOT like the clear screen protector part... too thick and clunky. Couldnt get things to register on the touch screen. So I took that part off, and put a regular tempered glass screen on it instead. Now I LOVE this case. Protects the phone very well.

The case is very nice, exactly as described, and works well with my phone. The only thing I had an issue with was the attached screen protector. It doesn't fit to the phone. To operate the phone I had to press the screen protector down for it to touch the screen. The simple fix is to remove it and use a better screen protector.

This is a decent case that works well although slightly expensive for the materials used. Most likely cost less than two dollars to produce. Laughing all the way to the bank this manufacturer is. Instead of this overpriced product buy a Tough Suit case instead. Just bought one for my full size Galaxy S4 for (are you ready) $10.00 here on Amazon. Tough Suit case is as good or better, NO, make that better than this flimsy overpriced Otter Box case if you take it apart and not careful all the plastic "nibs" that hold the two layers together BREAK off. Tough Suit case much better in that regard. Hey for $10 Tough Suit case for S4 IS THE WAY TO GO! Gotta trust this because I now own both cases and give honest reviews. Here to save you money just like Amazon.

this case is not water proof. it helps a bit when water is splashed on it but it's not a sealed unit. It does a good job protecting the phone and does not cause problems with use. I've dropped it a number of times and the rubber cover keeps the impact from affecting the phone. When it does get wet you have to take it out of the case and dry it out. The unit covers the screen with a clear barrier so you don't need a screen protector with this case. There is some diminishing of the finger touch sensitivity.

This is my second Otterbox,the first lasting me over four years and leaving my phone looking like new.The only thing really wrong with my old one was some of the closing tabs were starting to fail.I cannot recommend this all in one protector enough,especially for the very reasonable price!

Super protection, à recommander pour les plus maladroits car protège très efficacement. Par contre la protection donne une épaisseur au téléphone qui n'est pas négligeable car du coup il est moins fin et paraît énorme.

Positiv:+ die Box schützt das Smartphone gut,+ wird in einer Plastikbox eingelegt u zugeklipst,+ darüber kommt noch eine Art Silikonhülle gezogen+ Hülle kann man abwaschen+ mit einer Plasticabdeckung übers Display,habe aber trotsdem noch eine Schutzfolie auf das Display gezogenNegativ:- die Box macht das Smartphone natürlich dicker u Breiter u Höherdafür schützt es aber !- Der Touch reagiert vielleicht nicht so direkt aber es funktioniertschon mal runtergefallen aber nicht`s passiert. Ein neuees Smartphone würde ich wieder mit solch einer Hülle schützen !

Ottimo prodotto che protegge bene lo smartphone. Le dimensioni lo rendono però un po' ingombrante. Buoni i materiali di costruzione.

Excellent. I work outdoors but not hostile enough conditions to warrant getting a tough phone. Its got an in built screen protector with it, this can make it a little unresponsive at times but generally is good. Obviously if you drop it screen first on to a pointy object the screen will probably crack, but that aside its pretty good. If you're thinking of a tough phone, check out this case first. They are available for lots of other handsets.
