AJ 2" x 12Ft Tow Strap

I bought this last year and just now reviewing it as I had not used it until now. I bought it as an extra strap because you get more power when you pull evenly from both sides of your truck. I pulled up to a stop sign the other day and two young men in a small pickup pulling a trailer were broken down blocking the road. I asked if I could pull them off to the side of the road and they helped me hooked up the straps and I pulled them off to the shoulder about 75 feet away. This along with my other strap did a good job and had no issue pulling another vehicle to safety.

Perfect to tow but check the weight limit.

I bought a pair of these for my two sons who live on the coast in Maine. I showed them where to hook onto their cars if they happen to slide off the road and need to be pulled back to safety. These are worth the price just for the peace of mind if you have loved ones who travel in hazardous conditions.

A decent enough strap, especially for the money. While the strap itself seems fairly well made and I would trust it for up to 80% of its rated capacity (I never trust a strap to its maximum rating even though the manufacturer typically builds in a margin of safety, I prefer a wider margin), the metal hooks are junk. They are very cheaply cast low grade metal with even cheaper spring loaded gates and I ripped through them in a few seconds with just a hand held hacksaw. On top of that, they are very heavy for their size, no doubt trying to compensate for the lousy metal by adding bulk for strength. I replaced them with lighter, stronger D rings that I do trust to at least the limits of the strap. For light towing, say an ATV or small tractor, this would be fine as is but for anything more substantial like a compact car or light truck, I recommend putting quality hooks on both ends.

Just used it to move a non running car from one spot in the parking lot of an apartment complex to another to make it appear as though it runs. Score, this tow strap worked great. Pretty much the most affordable tow strap on Amazon, & therefore is great value for the occasional low speed tug. Wouldn't use it for anything routinely, but then again, if you're a pro you'll be looking for something more high end. For the bi-yearly scoot, this is great. Cheers.

Haven't used it. Bought it for emergencies just to keep in the trunk. It seems like it'll do the job just fine though. Quality seems alright.

metal clip for the tow hook broke off after first use

I had to use the strap to free my snowmobile and towable fish house from deep semi frozen slush in a remote lake in northern Minnesota. Without the strap my fish house would be there until spring. I bought another to extend my emergency towing options.
