I initially purchased in February 2016 to replace a similar Anker product that lasted for years but just didn't have enough juice for all the electronic gear I now carry around. It takes forever to charge, almost a complete day, which defeats the purpose of having it. And now the piece that holds the charging cord while you charge the unit has pushed into the battery, rendering it useless. Save your money and get something that charges more quickly and will last longer. Really disappointed in Anker, they are normally my go to company for these types of products. 8/24/17 Anker contacted me and offered to replace the unit because it was within the 18 month warranty period. Upgraded to 3 stars based on their customer service and backing of product. Will consider upgrading review further if the replacement unit itself charges faster than the old one.

We have bought three of these in the pass 3 or 4 years. Lost one, bought another one, lost that too and bought this one. Our third one was bought Jan. 2017. We use it for traveling and hardly used it. Back in April 2018, I've noticed it was taking 2 days to fully charge. Emailed Anker Direct and they said to use a more powerful UBS port and power line. We have their brand Anker USB port and tried several power line. That didn't speed the recharging. Time goes by, and I just called with a rep. to let them know, it is still taking too long. Four days and it has only charged to 2 bars. They had my complaint on record when it was still in warranty. We hardly use it and so time goes by (now Dec.) They have told me I am out of luck because it's pass the 18 month warranty. Spoke to the manager, he stands firm he can't do anything. We got a lemon and waited too late to let them know it was not charging well. My guess is $64 dollars for a battery that you'll get less than two years.

This was a great battery pack that I took with me for camping trips, on long travels, extensive mobile usage around the city. It has never been dropped or weathered, but suddenly have stopped charging altogether one day. Plugging it in to charge it, the charging meter light would just flicker and now hold a charge and the battery becomes hot. I had a lot of hope for this to last longer than it did.

I have a growing collection of Anker products, and while I'm admittedly pessimistic about almost everything I buy, I just can't get enough of Anker. This product is yet another example of their trend in creatively reversing the odd disadvantages of how technical devices interact with eachother, and in unexpected ways. For example, I have several different usb charging tablets, some of which require more power to simultaniously charge and use than their included wall adapter, resulting in the battery eventually draining to the point where the device is unusable until fully recharged again. That means being unusable for a few hours. This charger, on the other hand, will still charge tablets even while watching enormous video files at full brightness, streaming from the network--which using the wall charger, cannot pull enough amperage to keep charging as well.I love Anker's batteries. IF ONLY ANKER WOULD MAKE A MUCH LARGER BATTERY WITH A SIMILAR FORM FACTOR--50,000MAH!

On a recent trip to China, I was unaware of the rule to not put lithium batteries in checked bags...last time I flew this was not an issue. So of course during a rushed check in, we arrived at our destination (Manila, Philippines, from Guangzhou,China) only to find that my Anker Astro E7 was gone replaced with a sheet indicating why. (the condition of my bag and contents along with other missing items was disturbing but off topic)...All that to say I was happy to repurchase again. It's a terrific travel charger, with awesome capacity and features. The flashlight came in handy while looking for a dropped pencil under my seat during the darkened portion of the flight... While I hated to waste money, in this case it was well worth it.

My experience with Anker Support team was great, I had an issue with Anker's Astro E7 26800mAh Ultra-High Capacity charger were it wouldn't accept a charge nor give other devices a charge. After reach out to Anker support, they responded quickly and was able to ship out a replacement unit. The entire experience was great and they do stand behind their products. I will continue to support and buy Anker products knowing if I have any problems that the support team will take care it. Thanks again for the support.

Works and looks good, but Very Heavy battery pack. I usually take backup battery when flying overseas, and i take only carry on luggage with me. When i had this battery in my bag last time, airline did not let me take my bag as carry-on luggage because it was overweight. I was forced to check it in. It was surprise to me why it happened... and later i figured because of extra weight of the battery that i had in my carry-on bag that i took the first time with me. Never had this problem before. This is the only minus -the weight and size, otherwise it works great, and good quality huge capacity battery.

This external battery worked fairly well for 1 yr and then suddenly it failed to recharge itself - some internal damage? I was within warranty time period (1 yr) and wrote to Anker, they sent me a replacement w/o any issues. New battery replacement is working just as well as old battery. It's a heavy battery, but it charges many devices before needing a recharge.
