The collar is well made, soft and would ordinarily receive 5 stars. I Iove that the inside of the collar, particularly the backside of the clasp, is also soft and would not irritate neck/throat. However instructions on how to order the correct size could be better. My dog's neck (Malti-Poo) is approximately 8 1/2" so I ordered the size for up to 9 3/4". Sadly, it is too small! It would have to be put in the very last hole. I may order the next size and come back with a 5 star review.

My dog was getting knots in her hair from her older collar, so I bought this smooth, round, thinner collar! Works like a charm! No more knots in her hair around the neck! Yes!

I ordered the green and yellow collars for my black Lab. They look great against the black. The main reason for ordering these collars is the thinness of them. They are soft and get softer with wear. Seem to be holding up great.

It's difficult to find good quality collars for Chihuahua puppies. These are small, pretty and soft. However they may not last very long if your puppy gets ahold of it, or if another puppy decides to chew on it. They can fall off sometimes.I like the look of rolled leather collars. The colors are very pretty.Tanned leather collars are much more durable. They would be less comfortable, however, for a very tiny puppy or dog.

I received this today and my short hair chihuahua mix, Harry, and I are completely happy with this collar. It's very soft leather and pliable. And it's lightweight which is great for a small dog. I had been using one of those woven collars on him but it drove him crazy. All he did was scratch and scratch (no he didn't have fleas). So I removed the collar. The other night he ran out while I was putting out the trash and I didn't know it. He roamed the streets all night in the cold weather and a good Samaritan, a student at St. Joe's, found and took him to a vet to be scanned for a microchip, which fortunately he had. I'm very lucky to get him back. But heneeded a collar and this one is perfect.

We just adopted a 13 pound dog - tiny little guy. We originally bought one of those woven collars with the plastic snap closure. The collar was so wide on our dog that he looked really uncomfortable. So I went looking for a thinner collar and found this one. I followed the instructions and measured his neck and added one inch. Well that collar ended up being too big so we punched an additional hole in it. But that left a long end poking out that would catch on things. Obviously we couldn't return it because we had altered it, but we liked it so much we bought the same thing in the next smaller size and it is perfect for him. He is comfortable and he looks so cute! Love the turquoise color!As a note - I wouldn't feel safe walking him on a leash using just this collar. I'm pretty sure he could slip out of it if he tried. We put him in a harness for walks.

There is no way to secure the excess length. This flaw ruins what would otherwise be a perfect collar. I took it off my dog after about a week.

The collars were much smaller in diameter than I expected. They fit my dogs, and I kept them, but the buckles and loops were not as substantial as I expected. As I write this, I’m wondering why I kept them, but my dog’s collar broke, and she needed a collar. I ordered the size they measured, but I wish I had ordered a size up. All three were on the second to last hole, so not much to tuck under the loop. Beautiful colors, nice leather, but not nearly as substantial as a rolled collar I had previously.
